Yeh, but he was working on a M111 pulley I think...that was gonna weigh much less, and still have a harmonic dampener.

Hey Omey- do I get a cut of the profits since I am the one that posed the question yesterday via email about your M272 W204 pulley working for the M272 in the '06/'07 C230?

Honestly there was absolutely no market for the M111 products and also ASP already have two pulleys out for the 230k so there was no point in going into that market, we let ASP have it b/c honestly there just wasn't a market, I'd be shocked if they sold more than 10 of those pulleys.
We may make one for M271 but again, it suffers from the same fate as the M111 motors, the market is just so limited and the baseline power is so low that the gains aren't as substantial as they are on the V6 & V8 platforms.
The M272 though is a great motor and the pulleys are a nice addition and go very well with the character of the engine.

Hello,
Thanks for all those interested, appearantly there is more of a market than we originally thought. A few of the 230 members have contacted us and should do reviews of the pulleys. thanks.

Thanks for your positive input, Yes we realized that there are not enough performance parts available so we are doing our part to provide them to the specific models that are lacking in the mods department. thanks

Omey- the pulley arrived on Friday. Great packaging, quick shipping, and great communication before/after sale. It appears to be a quality piece. I will be out of town on business for a couple weeks. I hope to do the pulley install shortly after I return.

Why should AMS make one when there have been a few Renntech pulleys for sale over the past year, and all sold for < $500.
The gains are proven not to be realized at high rpms without an ECU override (as an ECU tune won't work alone due to the ECU nannies that cannot be disabled). Most members don't want just more hp/tq at the low end (although most of us drive in that range daily), they want to quote high HP in the "who's d*ck is longest" contest we car enthusiasts engage in.

C230 K Coupe (05)
does a crankshaft pulley have any benfits for a supercharger if they are both on the same belt?
an upgraded crakshaft pulley is bigger than the stock
an upgraded SC pulley is smaller than the stock
if they are on the same belt, wouldnt the effects negate each other???
im no mechanic or engineer...so dont bash me guys
just an open discussion : )
