M112 74mm TB Upgrade

We've been playing around a lot with the Intake side of these motors and felt it was about time we had a larger TB for these cars.

Stock the TB measures 68mm, but the hole in the mani where it bolts to is 74mm, so this size seemed like a logical choice.

The TB bolts right on with zero modifications. Your car will need about 5-10 mins to adapt to the new airflow before the idle settles down and the car is drivable.

We had 2 ways of offering this: the first was bored out stock TBs, the second was rebuilt v8 TBs. We went with option two as the price was much less. It's cheaper to rebuild the electronics then it is to bore it out and install a new blade.

Our TBs are being sold for 250.00 shipped.

If you would like to add it to our Stage 1 or Stage 2 manifold the pricing is 600.00 for Stage 1 and 950.00 for Stage 2.

Here is a link to the TB: http://www.tvtdes********/inc/sdetail/1344

And you will all be happy to know after looking at this pic that I finally picked up a new camera.

C230 Sport Coup + 2006 W164 ML350 + 99 Ford Escort (What the heck, it gets 38 mpg!)
Ok, so, are the throttle body's somewhat universal?
ie, if I measure my intake under the TB and it's wider than whats on there,
can I use this on my M111 engine?

The 430 TB will not work.

We took it off of our website because we were getting very back ordered. We've exhausted the stock of many salvage yards across the country. As much as we like making money, we knew we couldn't keep up with the demand if it continued at the rate of 2-3 a day.

We will be stocking up again shortly and we will reintroduce them to our current TVT265 customers first.

Bolted on stock 430 TB and it runs great!

Well I bought a stock 430 TB for $150 and bolted it on my CLK320. It was a very simple bolt on installation and it runs purr-fect. I've driven it about 40 miles so far with zero issues and you can really tell a difference in hp with the 74mm TB.

TVT_Design - What issues did you have when you bolted on a stock 430 TB?

Getting the right year to work with the electronics is the difficult part. If I said any 430 would work I would have a lot of upset customers.
