depo + HID $400 ?

fleebay Item number: 120393769310

for someone like me trying to improve the look + performance of my ugly stock headlights, would these be a good combo to buy or buy the two separately and DIY ?

$400 shipped does not seem too bad to me so far

what do the experts think?

(and yes i searched for similar threads )

I saw this long time ago and this one seems pretty decent, but I don't know what kind of kit they use. MTEC is really good from what I have heard.

But if money is not an obligation then you should get BIX

i would say slightly on the high side. depos run about $260 shipped and you can buy a 35watt hid kit for $65shipped. $89 for 55watt hids kits.

are the kits at that price reliable?
such as this http://vvme.com/catalog/list-s-10145-10146.html
i think i would use these as fogs, but not sure about my main lights, has anyone ran these?

also these vvme ones and the the og ones i posted, would they both require modification for the xenon present, alot of kits on ebay are claiming they area already modded for it. not sure if most are or not

just tell them what kind of bulbs you need and what color rating you want. It recommended you dont go above 6k since you lost a lot of light if you go higher then that.

i dont know about the kit you posted, i never used them. All non oem hid units will be less reliable them oem. OEM hid units are made by machine by well respected manufacturers like bosch, panasonic..etc. All the non oem hid kits are hand soldered in chinese factories.

There less reliable then oem but there also a lot cheaper, so its up to you. The light output from a depo with hid kit is going to suck compared to oem bixenons or a real hid projector retrofit.

I bought the hid kit from the link i posted since december. Seems to work well without any problems.

You will need to set it xenon present or get the 55watt kit or get cancellors if your car did not come with hids stock.

I buy from VVME.com and their products are great, I've these kits on both cars for 2 years now, and no problems so far.

Interesting?!

A 35/55W kit HID on stock headlights (mines being clear lens) is better than Depo projectors with the same HID kit installed on the Depo Projectors?

How much did they quote you on shipping? The kit is extremely cheap so I'm assuming they are overcharging for shipping.

Yeah you should since the stock headlights are 55W. If you get a 55W HID, you shouldnt get a warning headlamp message.
