I recall that when this topic was brought up before, someone had said that changing these settings affects performance only slightly but drastically reduces the fuel economy. To anyone who has had these settings changed, is this correct?
I would think 5-7 hp for 15 min labor, it's not that bad.

Not that I condone the use or the distributing of Pirated software but just think of what we could do with that. And I think Randy already said in a previous post that its a Mercedes dealer thing. It cant be given out to regular consumers.
Now who has the CD.
I wouldn't consider it pirated software since it only works on a mercedes product for which I have paid for. It's just an extension of the dash interface.
I'm curious what mbtech thinks about this, as before he wasn't sure where it could be found or if it existed.
This is like saying a copied version of Microsoft Office software is not pirated because you paid for MS Windows.
No, this is configuration software for a specific piece of hardware, not general use software like MS office. I couldn't use this software on a Ford or BMW.
Hey Kwik, just curious... What does the "Black/Black = Lemon" mean in your signature?
to use lower grade fuel (which is what I want)
or to raise performance ??? (don't care....but I'll take it...but does it require the 91 oct fuel?)
thanks !
thanks a million!

stage1=economy
stage2=standard(default)
stage3=performance

By the way, MBUSA implicitly denies that these settings (as well as Norway and AudioPilot settings) exist!

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your message.
Unfortunately there is no "fuel management setting" through the Star
Diagnostic Computer.
