P0025 Camshaft position B Code (07 C230)
While driving today i noticed the check engine light came on. I immediately went over to autozone, and put there OBD on the car which resulted in a P0025 error code. After reading a few post here on the forum i found the definition for the code to be camshaft position B timing over retarded-bank 2
I have also seen a few post pertaining to the cam sensors causing the check engine light to come on. Has anyone here ran into this error code before? If so what are the potential causes. The car only has 25,000 miles on it.

You have a camshaft position sensor on the blink. Not the ones on the front of the engine - on the side.

None of those post directly addressed P0025 error code. I only found post in regards to P0012 error which sounded similar in nature. I assume there are two different codes for A, and B Postitions , but was not shure which is why i created this thread.

Call the dealer and ask for the service department. Ask them if it's safe to drive it (I assume that it is). Then go for it. You're protected under factory warranty, there's no point in getting worked up over it.
Yeah the 200 mile trip sucks. I feel you. I'm 90 miles away and I thought that was bad.

Same here (2008 ML550 4-Matic); doesn't appear many understand how to fix this one. I think I'll look at other forums given this motor is used in other vehicles. If these sensors weren't so stupid expensive compared to others I'd just throw parts at it.
We can no longer take our MB's to the Tampa MB Dealer as they flat out lie about what's needed and consistently pad the numbers three and four times the book rates.
Argh, frustrated, love MB products, sickened by U.S. dealers!
