License plate frame screw size?

I was trying to replace my license plate frame which only had two screws. While trying to screw it in, it seems like the screws didn't fit well like it's not long enough or wide (thick) enough. Anyone know the screw size of the top holes?

theres no real size. it depends on the size of the frame. just try bigger and longer ones til you get a perfect fit

$120?...It costs that much for that bracket?

Why don't you just get all-weather double sided tape and/or velcro. Works well and costs about $3.00 for a pack of 4.

Double-sided tape - why didn't I think of that?

A somewhat related question: what is the policy in regards to front license plates placed behind the front windshield? Is that good enough for the police in CA, or is it just wishful thinking by those who do it?

Not legal in California, nothing can be below the height of the "rear view" mirror according the the VC Code...

License Plate Removal / Clear Marker

Thought I'd take advantage and shoot two birds with one stone...

I removed my front license plate to give my car a more sleeker look and realized there are two holes drilled to hold the plates up... any suggestions to cover these up (not looking to replace bumper either at this point lol)

I also just changed my side markers with the clear one's. The guy I bought them from said blue looks pretty cool. Would this be to RICEY or should I stick with a clear bulb?

1) fill in the holes and touch-up the filler

2) blue bulb is fine imo...i have blue city lights and they look mean when unlit.
