When set up - it is used to set under a wheel to prevent the car from rolling away while jacking. In the kit, the tool is collapsed to save space.

Thanks in advance,
MBSang,
Please read the owner's manual before changing a tire on your car (or anyone else's)! A wheel chock keeps the car from moving (and falling) when you throw off the center of gravity by jacking it up. The 'Swiss Army' part is just because I'm a smarta**.

My manual is lost. I never changed a tire, I've never seen anyone change tires yet I keep my eyes on the highway sides looking for chicks with flat tires :p

KOMPRESSORnSC is absolutely right. I just used it last week when one of my C7's Michelin Pilot Sports blew up.
When assembled it looks like a triangle and as mentioned, it is used to prevent the car from moving. There's also another tool in the trunk that is used to "center" the wheel in position so you can put the bolts easily without having to hold it while you work.

Are you interested to buy one? I have a brand new manual in the original MB leather pouch. Send me a PM message if interested.

really? I tried looking for manuals there. couldn't find any. there was a section for manuals. but they said I should call them.

(I logged on using my friend SL VIN by the way.)
