C32 AMG Brake Upgrade Discussion Thread
She did not pay $500 for these, the price is higher now. These are also for the Coupe cause I have them on mine
I also recomment the braides SS brake lines and a good brake fluid flush.
They are much more than for aesthetic change, they bring super car braking at little cost. They are really all about stopping perhaps 20 feet shorter from 60 mph and about 40 feet shorter from 70. In either case that just may stop you in timre to prevent an accident.

Brake Upgrade (AMG, etc...)
Hello,
I want to upgrade brakes in my sportcoupe.
I will take for sure the C32 callipers.
I will also take the front vented rotors, then for rear drilled rotors with stock callipers, Had I to but Ziermann? is there any other brand that produce rear drilled rotors to work with stock rear callipers?
I will also put the 4*Godridge Stainless stell brake lines.
And finaly, about the pads, do the: A 004 420 05 20 67 AMG Front Brake Pads (Less dustier) are realy less duster?
So I'm thinking in somethink like portfields for all 4 wheels.
What about front linning sensor? with amg low dust pads, and with portfield?
Finaly do you know where can I buy this?
Best Regards,
Ruben.

Ruben,
I also bought my C32 AMG brakes from Evosport. The complete kit comes with the drilled front rotors, the new AMG (less dustier) brake pads, and the lining sensors. (I'm not sure if these OEM pad sensors work on other than MB or AMG pads). Check with a brake mechanic.
I noticed a decrease of about 1/2 in the dust factor with the new AMG brake pads. I used to clean my front wheels 1 or 2 times a week, now I go about once every 2 weeks. (granted, I have chrome wheels, which don't grab the dust, and also use Meguiar's wheel cleaner, which practically cleans the wheel by itself).
I've read on these forums good things about the Zimmerman (sp?) rear drilled rotors. But I haven't done the research on other brands of rear rotors, so there's probably more out there.
Same thing with Porterfield pads. I've heard good things about them, but if you use the ceramic pads, then in time and with heavy-braking (heat) you have the potential of wearing down your rotors faster than normal. Rotors are much more expensive than pads, so just be careful in what kind of Porterfields you select. I think you need are RS4 pads, but do the research first.
The stainless steel brake lines, really don't do much for your braking power unless your are a circuit racer and really bring the brake temperatures super high. For normal street driving, you don't really need stainless steel lines, but if you still want them, they would be more for the "look" factor, although you can't see them unless you're under the car.

repost: rear brake upgrade for CL203- all MBZ parts.
Sorry, felt like this one needs to be revisited...

thanks Vadim,
I knew that thread was out there somewhere. Still looking for the Part #'s, to add to my Mod Scheduler.

Big brake upgrade: bigger is better?

Its with a sponsor, so i guess i have no need to worry about being in the doghouse

Bigger Badder Brakes
Has anyone quantified how much the AMG breaks improves stopping power? (vis, vis shorter stopping distances?) How does it play well with the other automatic systems of the car?

C32 AMG brakes are the same as C-Class 2004.5 4 piston and 2005-2006 2 piston MB brakes.
They are made by BREMBO.
