Some shocks/struts have a certain ride height that they are designed for, some don't. Even with the one's that dont, it will still be slightly harder for the shock/strut to dampen the stiffer (higher spring rate) spring and it may therefore get hotter with repeated cycles.
If you only cut off a coil or a half of a coil and raise the spring rate <10%, you should be fine, provided the shocks are not designed for a specific ride height.
I have no idea how the dampers on a C class are designed, but if the aftermarket drop springs do not require you to change your shocks and struts, then I would advise that damper wear for a setup with mildly trimmed springs will not be noticibly worse than the wear rates for a setup with aftermarket springs.

Or you can get Coilovers for 1200.00 US Dollars
Your spending time and money into the AMG kit why not pay a little more and get good springs or coils as well.

Here is the link to the best coils for your car (in my opinion)

i have just checked that site and my car isnt listed. mines a c180 komp
If you are going to have to pay someone to take off the springs, cut them, put them back on and then you get coilovers or springs in a month it wouldnt be worth the money unless someone can do is for free.
You might as well drive it like (stock -unchopped) that for a month then get it done properly (springs or coils)
Up to you but if its not free then you are wasting money.
Good luck
