Did you possibly do a search?

There is a ton of information available for almost any question asked before on these forums.

the springs compression ratio wont stay the same.. you are compromising ride quality.

if u chop ur spring, ur stock shocks will die out a lot earlier.

This is not necessarily true, but it can be true in some situations.

Some shocks/struts have a certain ride height that they are designed for, some don't. Even with the one's that dont, it will still be slightly harder for the shock/strut to dampen the stiffer (higher spring rate) spring and it may therefore get hotter with repeated cycles.

If you only cut off a coil or a half of a coil and raise the spring rate <10%, you should be fine, provided the shocks are not designed for a specific ride height.

I have no idea how the dampers on a C class are designed, but if the aftermarket drop springs do not require you to change your shocks and struts, then I would advise that damper wear for a setup with mildly trimmed springs will not be noticibly worse than the wear rates for a setup with aftermarket springs.

Looks good,

I wouldnt chop the springs. I would get coilovers but they are expensive.

Have you thought about putting another kit?

Brabus, Lorinser, Reiger, WALD?

Spend the money and get Springs around 60.00 US Dollars
Or you can get Coilovers for 1200.00 US Dollars

Your spending time and money into the AMG kit why not pay a little more and get good springs or coils as well.

I agree, don't chop just lower with good spring kit. Like your rims. Nice car.

Never mind the other kits, I saw you went with AMG. Keep it Original

Sure if you are going to do it yourself?

If you are going to have to pay someone to take off the springs, cut them, put them back on and then you get coilovers or springs in a month it wouldnt be worth the money unless someone can do is for free.

You might as well drive it like (stock -unchopped) that for a month then get it done properly (springs or coils)

Up to you but if its not free then you are wasting money.

Good luck

It shouldnt matter, I would go with the year and make sure you dont get 4 matic.

You can try contacting them. I'm pretty sure there is no differnce.

Can anyone chime in?
