Holy-Cow!, its "holycaoAMG"!
Hello all, I first want to start off apologizing that I came into this forum without really presenting myself and my Benz.
I have been a very long time Mercedes lover, ever since my father brought home his very first 1976 450SEL. Only keeping it for a good 350k miles, the w163 ML320 came along, with the added addition of the w220 S500; by then, i knew for sure it was time for me to finally take the ownership of the three pointed star in my own hands and purchased my current 01 C320.
With my youthful age at the time, the w203 fit perfectly with my expectations in that it was entry level, was small, easy to drive around in, was good on fuel, had good looks, well appointed interior, and the upper model m112 engine was all that i really needed and more. (It was fully loaded, without command though, when i got it.)
As many of you should know, MY01 w203 owners are known to be subjected with many problems but i proud to say after many trips to the shop and 88k miles later, its running better than ever.
I have been a reader on this forum for a VERY long time, but didnt sign up until my warrauntee expired, so no, im not a noob. Its great to see all the mods done here and am impressed by what many of you have done, but i believe on keeping my car stock for the time being, 'keepin' it ole' skool' i should say; only doing a few things here and there as you can notice in the pics...BTW, for those of you who dont know, holycao is pronounced the same as holy-cow. cao=cow.
'As these miles add up, it leaves behind a story, a chapter in my life.'
Here are some pics of my black beauty I took a few nights ago with my new D30 :

I always loved the 3.2L M112 engine. Loads of low end. Miss it so much.
Like your car, it looks very nice... but I'm not a fan of chrome wheels. I'd say to switch to the facelift clear headlights and tails, just for a more modern look.

Yeah, the 3.2 is really grunty low end, makes tackling uphills like nothing. Funny thing is your clk320 actually has more torque than mine (221tq vs 229tq). May i ask, how many miles did the clk hold up until you sold it? im expecting to keep mine for a while.
As for the chrome, i honestly dont like it either. I will, in the future when the tires get bald, upgrade. (i just put on new michelin pilot sports)
I'm gonna get the facelift heads and tails without a doubt. Current ones look so cheap, compared to these days. Also, new facelift 3 fin grill needs to be installed. (still sitting in my garage)

That's weird that the same engine in your car is less powerful. The car had 232,000+ miles on it when I sold it, and the guy says it still is fine, but he's only had it for 3 and a half months. Granted, those miles were greatly highway miles. The impressive thing is that the transmission fluid was never changed (that tranny was designed to be a closed system), and the diff fluid was only changed about a month before I sold it. It was truly an amazing car... you'll have yours for as long as you want it.

Looks really clean! Except youre not fully loaded you said you didnt have navigation, but you also do not have heated seats. Or at least it looks like that when you look at the buttons in the center counsel.

I dont drive hard (unless i have to). I keep it up with usual maintainance, mobile 1 syn oil, chevron fuel and all the good stuff; it should last as long as your previous clk.

My CLK had all of its maintenance done at Brumos Motorcar in Jacksonville, FL, and was pushed fairly hard it's entire life (my dad has a heavy foot)... and I pushed it even harder for the last 35,000ish miles. I would actually say that the car improved during the time I had it, with a lot of the little problems spontaneously going away

I love it... I always wanted a silver car after my white CLK, but now that I have it, I think it looks better in white (the '07 sports). Still extremely happy though!

I'm not a fan of the pre-facelift C-class (on any level) but your car seems to be in great shape. I don't see a lot of 01 cars in good shape anymore.

hey welcome
I suggest removing those fake chrome exhaust tips, and I'm not feeling the chrome wheels either!
but again, welcome! I used to have a C320 coupe, so as for mods...there's a lot to do so.

Are those reading lamp bulbs changed out with brighter ones? I want to do that but I had trouble getting the lens off the first time I did it. I got it off but I then put it back on because it was too much of a hassel to do them all.

They appear brighter because my lense captured the lighting and intensified it.
