I wanted the top slat to dive in to match the same angle as the other slats like the CLK and CLS grille do. Figured it would look weird if the top one was just flat like the stock frame. The CLS and CLK doesnt show metal of the hood since their is none. The grille mounts to the bumper and not the hood like regular w203's.
Eye level or not the gap is still huge. There isn't any way to fix this? The picture below is not eye level and it still looks like ***

The only part of the images I posted that are photoshopped are the backgrounds. There is nothing else photoshopped in those images, I promise you that. I was there when it was put in and it looked just as you see it. The only way to fix this would be to remake the mold which means an additional 3-4 month wait.

Gap 1 is what we are referring as noticable at eye level. Gap 2 there intentional since the top slat has the same angle as the other slats. It is tricky to minimize Gap 1 since if you add more material it may not clear outer hood opening when sliding in. The back plane of the top slat is needed to cover the mounting points.
