You're absolutely right. I told my photographer to NOT photoshop anything other than the background. I hadn't even noticed that until you said something. I apologize for that oversight. Here are the images completely unedited, background intact.

The grill doesn't look too bad now. For some reason the pics Mike had looked worse. Maybe it was the quality of the pic.

The only reason that gap is there is because if it weren't, the grille wouldn't fit at all.

Someone mentioned trying it on a lighter color car. I agree, do you guys have a white color car you can try the grill? I think it'll look completely different on a white color car. Not saying this because I have a white.

If you're volunteering, then by all means! We needed the images for a project we are working on and Mike's name was the first brought up. If you are, shoot me an email with your name and phone number and I'll forward it on to my product development team as they are the ones that handle the test fits.

there's no gap on the original grille posted on the first page of this thread. that's why I'm wondering why is there a gap when you made it into CF.

the ones in the pic I remember it was made by that company called europassion in indo before it went off the air.

and here

Glad to see the w209 ED group buy isn't the only one taking FOREVER! (Not your fault Ken) I agree with everyone here the gap is a deal breaker. It looks cheap. It's a shame because ED did a great job with the 209 CF slat 3 slat grille. I am very happy with it!

I see what was done now. Due to suggestions the top part was eliminated...I C

This one matches Mike's car more...don't you guys think.

Thanks for the offer Ken but I think you guys are a little far from me. If you guys want to come to my house I'll be happy to test fit it for free.

We're in Fullerton. The guy we had test fit our w209 grille came up from LA as well. Only took him about 30 mins.

Almost a year later but yeah it looks great! I joined the group buy in August along with 11 other people. I Paid in November.
After numerous delays I ended up getting a refund in April. They ended up producing only 3 CF grilles. One of the big reasons for all the delays was they couldn't get a test vehicle because the original guy sold his car.
May comes around and they get somebody to test fit the grille (someone who was not part of the group buy) and they sold him one of the 3 CF grilles they produced.

I bought mine from the guy who sold his car. If not for him I probably still wouldn't have one. I guess there is 1 still for sale..lol

You guys aren't the only ones who waited forever..

Edit; The rep at the time was Ryan. Ken is the new rep and it looks like he's trying to get things straightened out. GL

ED, Roland is your man for the test fit. Plus you can give him a discount towards a grill since he seems interested (don't know if he is or wants to) I'm not interested in the grill, just only wanted to help out.

Yah, you can actually see more in the un-photoshopped photos, and the grill does appear better. There must be some lost image quality during the downsampling for the image via ps.

I also agree w/ wanting to see it on a light colored car to the contrast and fit better.

I'd offer to swing by but I can't make it during office hours (8-530). If you guys want to send a fitter to my office (across from the Honda Center) you've got free reign. LOL. Or if you want me to come on a Sat after 2, I can too.
No worries about giving me a discount though, just pass it to Roland. (-=

All of our test fits take place at our facility here in Fullerton and we're not open during the weekend.
