M272 Do It Yourself
#52
Hi guys
I am trying to open the intake manifold for my M272 engine to replace a broken linkage as many suffer from this problem
I will try to machine this linkage part (shown on the picture) myself as well.
any instructions and advice for opening the intake manifold and informations of linkage dimensions would be appreciate

Upper and lower control arms, tie rods, and sway bar links all have ball joints at one end or both. Jack up the car and wiggle them around firmly and see if you can feel a bit of play. Or put the car on jack stands and use the jack under the rotor (with a pad of course) to load the suspension slowly and have someone else or you watch all of the members and see if you can see one of them shift or "clunk."
Try searching the forum too, I don't flame people but a lot of others do if you come out with questions that have been covered several times and can be found by searching.
