i have the soft copy of this version.. sorry but it failed.. same as the other haynes manuals.. very general.. nothing much specific to the car..
id want to see a chilton manual on this car.. waaay more info.

I have used the Haynes manuals for over 30 years & although they do have their faults , they are not useless.

Problem with Haynes is they were OK for your old Peugeot & my old Jag - barely. With modern complex vehicles they just don't contain the required detail.
I'll pull up the Benz DVD part number for you if I can find.

Thanks SRT - My research tells me that the W204 repair manual has not been launched as yet? Is that your understanding?

I really need a 204 C Class diesel manual but as I cannot find one on line, the 203 CD may help until the 204 becomes available. The diesel 2.2 L engine & auto GB seem to be similar.

I have the full WIS, EPC, etc and it is 6 DVDs - does not run on Vista - only XP & I'm setting up a separate PC for it.
Sunny Ray has posted what I'm talking about. splinter, Johnand & others that have it post very good material from it.

And that was version 1 non-Vista compatible (P-2700-203-06),.... version 2 (P-2700-203-07 Vista compatible) didn't come out until 2007.From Mercedes DVD part naming method,... it would probably be called P-2700-204-XX where XX is the last 2 digits of the year its released.
Besides,... there's a new Microsoft Windows OS coming out,... I suspect, even if Mercedes was ready with a 204 version, Mercedes would want it to be compatible with newest OS from the MicroSerfs.

Recently found a copy of Chilton’s W203 repair manual in our local library. Was the first to even borrow it according to the flirtatious librarian. Noted its title page credited Haynes North America for the meager contents. No reason to purchase a copy – it’s worthless. Get the DVD straight away as it’ll pay for itself many times over if you’re inclined to DIY.
Learned tonnes from Mr. Ruck, too. Should've been twisting spanners for his international racing teams back in the day.

Thank you everybody. I am now forum informed on the subject. Will have to be patient & wait another 5 years for the issue of the MB 204 version!!

Did my time in the dyno room though - I was - let's just say picky about results recording & accuracy - wanted to see it for myself. Loved the gun happy Americans - they produce the finest liquid filled ear protection on the market - Wanted to look after my audio hobby hearing & the bloody Honda V3 2-stroke produced an ear splitting din at full chat.
