Question Anyone else chilly with the heat on in their Coupe?

Hi all!

I find the heat in the c-coupe doesn't get nearly as hot as other cars I've had. Now, I run really cold (I'm always cold when other people are fine, so I'm really hyper-sensitive to the cold), but I've never had a car that left me so frozen.

TIA

Beth

I find it also that it does not get that HOT in the C coupe. My Focus ZX3 get's hotter than then the C. Infact all the cars i had where hotter inside than my C. I don't know why? Go figure.. My wife even said that the C doesn't warm up that quick.

Seriously.... when i had a Ford focus loaner... man was that instant heat... my SLK gives off better heat... my celica even gives off better HEAT!!! the C-coupe doesn't build up heat too quicklyy..... although i've found a trick...

i turn down the blue dial and it helps a lot....when i want instant heat i turn on the front defogger for about 2 or 3 min.. that helps also...

What mods have you done to your C230 Coupe? Did you mod your SLK?

I don't like a lot of heat, so I never crank it up, but I think it is usually too hot for me. I have to turn the temp lower in the winter than I do in the summer. In summer, I usually set it at about 68-70. But now, in the winter, I set it at 66 or lower.

Did you lower your C230 at all? The reason I ask is because the picture of your Coupe in your signature looks lowered.

Mine gets hot very quickly, but I always prefer cold than hot so I'm sensitive to heat :p

if u look at ur 2 middle vents there is a black wheel with blue lines on it (2002 only). that is known in cold weather to blow out cold air through those vents... if u turn that wheel so no blue shows the car will get hotter.

My heater works fine. You must remember it has a thermostat and adjust itself. so if you want hot you have to turn the dial to the red. Then again I have heated seats so I leave mine set to colder settings. There is a big diference between having the climate control automatic and say a Ford Focus with the heat control set to the highest point. In the Ford you are just closing and opening a vent door, in the MB you are telling the computer to do it for you. The vehicle warms up fast for me so I have no complaints.

i've found that the AUTO setting works flawlessly (at least on my car). if i set it on 72 degrees, it regulates at 72 degrees. if i move it down to 70 degrees, i can tell the car is cooling off the cabin a couple degrees. i'm so spoiled by the AUTO now, i can't stand screwing around with the HVAC system on a car that doesn't have it.
