ESP poped up when i turned the car on but what did it say?

hey guys.
so i turned the car on this morning and warmed it up, i saw ESP something on the dash, i only got a quick glimpse of it and couldnt read anything cause i wasnt realy paying attention to the dash.... wth... why would they pop something up for such short time and not have a msg left for me....

so what do you guys think it said? all i could read out of it was ESP in big letters, then some words under it but like i said i only saw it for like 1 second and it went away..... no msg lefted...

hoping theres nothing wrong with my ESP these dang merc parts are way to expensive for me...

This happened to me like 3 months ago.. I don't know if i was starting my car fast infront of my house... But i swear i saw a ESP or SRS on the dash for a quick second then it left.. Maybe the car was just checking all the sensors or something.. ( the car has a mind of its own lol ) But ive never seen this again after that day.. And it only did it for a quick second..

ESP Visit Workshop is the entire error that came up. I was dealing with this everynow and then but I would get a diagnostic scan done and see if any errors come up. That one error was one of many problems that came around the same time. $1600 later, all was fixed and I was on my way.

You have to be going faster than a certain speed (something like 10mph). You might have been going too slow for you car to warn you.

my 01 doesn't care either but it was designed not to care. in either 02 or 03 i think they changed that for safety reasons.

That's right. My CLK ('99) only beeped when you first turned the car on. After that.. nada!

My car only beeps on startup too. I like how it doesnt beep though because that can get very annoying at times.

Even though this is completely off topic, sorry, the good thing about even the newer models is that even if you don't wear it, the dinger only goes through one round of dinging and then gives up. Still pretty annoying though.

I don't think the beeping is loud enough on my 2005. I also wish it monitored every seat in the vehicle, not just the front two. There's only 1 valid excuse for not wearing your seatbelt.. stupidity. Not to launch into a rant or anything but if I hear one more person spew a story out about how a friend of a neighbor's daughter would have died IF she had been wearing her seatbelt I'm gonna hit someone. I hope as time goes on cars progress from annoying beeps to disabling the engine if seatbelts aren't used. It's pathetic already the extent we go through to protect people from their own ignorance.

You don't wear your seatbelt - you DESERVE what you have coming.

I can understand if, in the case of my step-dad, you are a realtor going from house to house in a neighborhood, and you don't see the need to put on a seatbelt. Other than that... WEAR IT! But at the same time, if you don't want to wear a seatbelt, then that's where Darwinism comes into play

At the same time, I think that the helmet laws for motorcycles are ridiculous. If you are required by law to wear a seatbelt, then you should be required by law to wear a bleeding helmet! It's not only safe, but also hygienic. And if I was riding down the highway at 60 miles per hour, I would not want to be hit in the head by a June bug!

why do you want seat belts required same with helmets? It prevents Natural selection from happening or for the idiots out their seat belts and helmets keep your *** alive when you do something stupid which lets you reproduce

Helmets are mandatory in my state.. not sure why they aren't in FL. Not that this is on topic. As a final note, natural selection is fine. However, someone in the backseat of a car that doesn't care about his/her life can kill someone in the front seat of the car that had the sense to click the seatbelt.
