Black grill on silver w203 too much contrast?

If my car was black, I would totally black out the grill in a jiffy, but when I searched through the forums, I could only find people who had black cars who had blacked out their grills, very few with silver/white cars, infact, I didn't find a picture of such combination..

So my question is, would it be too much of a contrast? I have no mods to the front end except a flat-badge and soon to be HID's.

Plus, what would be best to paint? The silver slats, everything except for the chrome around the grill, or the whole thing?

Thanks!

keep it stock. if that is your only visual mod, then it will look completely out of place.

until you have some more mods, I would suggest just keeping it stock for now.

You could start with wheels/lowering to match a black grille...

I agree with Phil, you have to have other black to go with the grill. Vinyl roof and CF wing coming soon and projectors/bix to make front look more aggressive

Edit:
Also maybe smoked light (lightly not tooo dark)

His car is an elegance sedan from what I've seen in his avatar, not Sport Sedan, so vinyl roof/CF spoiler/BIX still wouldn't help much IMHO

Did you flip those tires yet?

The black is better IMO to compliment your roof, but I would have no sticker on the windshield if it were me

Thanks, Eric came by and did it because I was super paranoid of it flying off. We got around 10 self locking bolts

Silver cars need as much help as possible to make them look interesting. Black out the grille.

I have a silver w203 and the black and silver combo is very nice.

- Get the 3 slat grille then wrap the chrome with the 3m dinoc cf vinyl.
- get a spoiler
- debadge
- tint windows
- lowering kit

These are subtle mods that will definitely improve the look on your car

Nice masking skills. I don't know if anyone noticed, but are your fog housings aftermarket? They don't seem to fit with the mesh..
