Sorry that they're a little out of focus; not sure why.
Was part of a $2,300 bodyshop bill for rust, etc., so no idea what they charged me to do the cutout. They did say (and show me a pic) that the paint underneath my original badge was bubbling, so in a way, this saved me some future aggrevation.
Looks much nicer than stock did.

Thanks for the redone pictures of the WHITE STAR on your modified Coupe hood.
Surely you jest about it falling off... There is more hardware underneath the hood holding it in place than what is visible above.

There are 59 AMG Badges in circulation, at the moment. The next to be sold is serial #60, and I have more than enough parts to make another 200 AMG Badges.
The first 500 WHITE STAR Flat Badges have been sold. But not to worry, as I will continue to make these until I run out of parts... another 90-100 or so.

Years after starting this project, I still get questions whether my badges are a direct swap for the 44mm diameter Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) Standing Star hood ornament.
To clarify again, my badges are made DIRECTLY from the OEM part, so indeed, they are 44mm badges. How could they be anything else?
The following picture shows how the OEM part is adapted to accommodate either the AMG or WHITE STAR flat badge insignia.
