Hi all - I've noticed on a couple of these guidelines that the W210 is excluded… does that mean that a dyno mode is inaccessible on a W210? Thanks

It is in Wales. That's where the name comes from. Like London Ontario etc.

How to "change" service reminder

Hi guys....do you know if the pdf instructions posted can change reminder between miles and days to service? My delima is: at the begining of 2015, my reminder said service G due in approx. 6500 miles. I was planning to do the service in a few months (June), or about 500 miles BEFORE the actual limit. Recently I was playing around in the menus, trying to see how much Oil was in my engine. Lo and behold, a few days ago upon startup cars says "G" is due in 30 days.

I haven't driven 1000 miles since year started casue it's winter here; im confused how it changed over to 30 days and counting to service G!?!?!

Maybe I switch the schedule by accident?? When i go into the menus i still see a section that says "6200 miles" to service, but the " 30 days" indication still shows up. Any suggestions or ideas how to fix?

Thx in advance,

It's not your fault. I noticed the same, it would change to "days left" - maybe there is a time limit for service reminders, so that even if you are not driving a lot you will still visit the dealer a coupla times a year. You can "fix" it by resetting the service reminder and having the service done in June as you had planned.

The way Mercedes sets its reminders is every 15,000 KM / Miles or every 1 year, whichever comes first.... This means that if you service your car today at 30,000KM or miles and park it in the garage for one year, she will request the next service anyway.... and if you drive your car to 45,000Kms in 5 months only, she will ask you for the next service....

It's the same button "cluster illumination button" on my C2006 C230. I don't know why they use two different terms for the same button. Maybe there are two different buttons on some models, but it is the same button on mine. The instructions worked perfectly.

Glyn,
Hello Sir. You have been Very helpful in the past with issues relating to my 2 prior MBZ. I just purchased a Pristine 2001 C240, 2.6 for my daughter. I am trying to get all the services up to date and ready. I for the life of me can NOT call up the DYNO page on the multi function display. I was able to reset the service indicator. I am trying to get accurate oil info(no dipstick). Any ideas?

2001 C220 CDI
Thanks for all the posts with knowledge. Just have to find the items that are pertinent to my particular model. I have a 01 C220 CDI Classic sedan, and on mine to reset the service note I had to hold down the reset button for 3 seconds vice pushing 3 times.

It was quite simple and has been buggin the hell out of me for about 6k now oh well how this helps others out.
