lol, you unplug the battery and you will get another set of issues... go figure why.
You can always try that method, there is a sticky for "after unplugging the battery issues". Did you check the fuses? You probably jacked one up when you were dealing with the light.

I think if you have any of the airbags unplugged and power up the car you will get that warning and the only way to get rid of it is with the diagnostic tool. It's a safety check to keep the message until the bag is fixed/replaced after activation.

That's not what I mean. If you unplug an airbag, then power up the car with the airbag unplugged, it senses the missing airbag and throws an error. To reset that error you need the diagnostic machine....disconnect battery won't do it, OBD II scanner can't make it go away either.

ok so i was visiting that myairbags.com website and what they basically do is that u take ur srs computer module out and u send it to them then they fix it or reprogram it and send it back for 40 bucks. i checked them out on ebay and they have great feedback and they do mercedes! so tomorrow i am just going to retrace my steps the check all the wires them i am going to get it diagnosed and cleared, if it still stays up ill just go ahead and send that piece to that myairbags.com place and see how it goes from there!!

It should be noted that an SRS light being on means your seat belt tensioners and all airbags are deactivated. The car will drive normally.

I think that your assumption that this work is related to the SRS warning coming up is wrong. It's entirely possible that your sensor went bad just at the same time that you did this work in a totally unrelated area.
If you were not working around your passenger seat area, then you were not even close to any airbag wiring.
My SRS warning kept coming up also, and it ended up being the sensor went bad at the passenger's seat. Sometimes, a warning is actually related to the thing that it's warning you about.

SRS warning can only be reset by the STAR diag soft.
find a local ind. shop that has it and they can do it for you for fraction of what dealer will rape you for. standard STAR diag rate is about $120/hr at the dealership.
IMO the error occurred probably from when you are messing around with the headlight which at each corner there is a impact sensor. you might have loosen a wire.

does anyone have a pic of how these sensors may look??
also another question i have a new sensor for my engine coolant but i have no clue how to change it. would i have to drain the coolant in order to change it because it is located at the bottom of the tank.
