Do you know what you do when you buy a C350 6 speed?......
Go out and auto x it! Action pics to come, waiting on a buddy to send images...but here is the 350 in the skin....
My buddy from Land Rover in texas gave me a random call and said he had found me a car I wanted...I thought it was LR Discovery HSE7 Westminster, however it was not. It was a late late 06 C350 6 Speed, after sending a few pictures and having him assure me it was in good shape, I jumped in the car for a road trip to texas. Well after a good deal of driving I picked it up about a week and a half ago. I then jumped on a cruise and was gone for 5 days while my little C350 was waxed buffed and cleaned into oblivion. I bought it untouched it is a bit rought, paint needs a bad buffing and the front has highway chips but its a C350 6 speed! I already called and ordered a box to send my ECU to get modded. Im pretty excited, traded the 230 6 speed in and ended up breaking even, I only had to pay 500 over the cost at the dealer because my buddy is awesome. So I walked out with a 100 dollar lower payment and a year shorter payment book. Thank you Todd
I auto X'd it today, it was great went to the novice school to brush up on RW driving, it was great. Every one said excellent brakes, mushy suspention (even sports MB suspension is softer then a BMWs or Subies) and they said the power was good, but could use more. I however love the stock power. I didnt think it would be that much power, but wow, the power and the brakes are even better then I expected. Anyways here are pics, with more to come tomm, I do the points day tomm!
Its almost a twin of my 230 except it doesnt have the bose, just the normal stereo, and the seats and steering wheel are power, but other then that, its nice to have basically the same car just with a bigger engine.

From this angle the caliper look like the c230 caliper. If I am correct then you should diffidently call back the dealer you got it from because the C350's calipers aren't like the one in the pic.

Eric, since you are well knowledged in this field (i learned from you about the brakes and the difference
and brake fluid flush) is there a big difference between the 230 brakes and the 350?

a quarter mile at a time
When we looked up the options it said "sport calipers" which do look allot like my old ones, the only difference I see is they look a bit bigger, I dont know though, they could be the same, this is a wierd car, its has the cell phone pre wiring and all that stuff, and its a late 06, practically an 07 when i thought they took out the ipod and phone wiring but its all there. The shifts feel a bit smoother in this car though, It has 43k miles my 230 had like 32 so It prob had a trans flush maybe. I am assuming the guy drove it well, he traded for a Z06 Vette they had on their used lot.
The phone wiring was taken out as a standard item but could be added as an option starting 07. It looks like it's an 06, it has the single tip muffler and no trunk spoiler. Being an 06, it should have the phone pre-wiring.

That said - your car has C230 brakes. That should raise eyebrows. They did make running changes but this seems really unlikely. The 4-piston calipers have a completely different design.

Congratulations - I was scared when you said that you used to have a C230 in an earlier post.

Yup I agree, My car's build date was November 05 and it has the 4 piston. If yours is an late 06 then it should definitely have the 4 piston brakes. What is the VIN on the car I can look it up for you in STAR and tell you exactly what brakes your car came with.
