Big feet, small car

I know this thread seems stupid but want know if anyone else experiences this. I test drove a 2004 C240 back to back with a 330xi to see which one I preferred. The C was the clear winner with one exception; when I apply the brakes the tip of my shoe rubbed against a metal plate or something that's above the pedals. And the dead pedal seemed really small too. My toes were slightly bent upwards. I'm 6' 2" and wear a size 12(U.S.) shoe. Does anyone else have this problem.

I would have posted this question whether or not I had a W203. I believe the heading of the website says "for the Mercedes-Benz enthusiast" not "Mercedes-Benz owners only"

I wear size 12's and I'm six foot, but I sit very far back, and in my most comfortable position, my toes probably reach just below the top of the brake pedal.

There is something to be said for sh*tting or getting off the pot, though.

I've got size 10 shoes, and even I have issues with the dead pedal area - Mercedes just aren't made with a serious driver in mind, imho.

I sit in an upright positions where the backrest is about in line with the B pillar. I find it helps keep my attention to the task at hand and it is safer in the event of an accident. And I agree about the getting off the pot remark. In fact, I would have had a C280 about 2 months ago but it is a question of money. My tuition is due in full on the 30th. No help from parents/family(my decision). 100% out of my pocket.

6’ 3” with size thirteen boots. Nary an issue.

I don’t heel-n-toe its slushbox too often. Get the Bimmer.

A Car
GAH..!
Finally someone mentions this. I thought it was me or the car. My feet never fit perfectly beneath any of the pedals, even the resting foot area and im size 12.

It absolutely kills the driving experience big time, I HATE it.

Everything else about the car fits me perfectly. The height of the center console and the gear shifter makes everything feel nice and accessible without being claustrophobic. In the Bimmer, my right knee would rub against the steering column near the key and I felt like I was sitting on the ground which was uncomfortable. The driver foot space is the only ergonomic gremlin I have in the Benz.

I'm 6'4" and wear size 13-14 and I have no problems at all. I like the placement of everything in this car, that's why when I was done with my C230 I got another C instead of something else. Though recently I drove around a CTS-V for a day and would have seriously considered that against my C55 if I had remembered about them. My car's exterior looks much better than the CTS, but the 400hp and 6 speed would have made for a very tough decision. I really liked that V.

Update: I went to my local MB dealer and looked at an 07 C280 and did not have a problem. Must have been the shoes I was wearing.

To be honest, I actually like the interior on those it was the front end (mainly the headlights) that I didn't quite like.

hmm... are you sure your seating position is set properly?

I'm a size 14 and I have absolutely no problems... In fact, barefoot, I can keep most of my foot on the gas pedal and just stretch my big toe to hit the brakes.

Sorry, I disagree. I have always preferred a smaller car. My C-Class (no sunroof) has very generous headroom and legroom. It is one of the reasons I bought this car. I am a bit over 6'3" and have a size 12 shoe.

I'm not the biggest guy, but I do wear size 11 and am about 5'11". Everything fits me perfectly. The seat isn't the cuppiest, but overall, the car is great!
