Thanks for all the comments people; keep em' coming and remember, if you need tickets, just let me know. They're free! Cheers!

Being a huge movie buff, I would be there in a heartbeat if I was in SoCal. Good Luck!
But don't worry about the debris and water on the 5D. Those things are like twinkies. They''ll survive anything.
Just for kicks check this out. This guy drops his 1D in water and his 7D goes on artic expeditions.

Thanks for the compliments peeps, you guys are rocking it as always!

shot on a 5D and other DSLR's? now I want a 5D! lol.
off topic, but BLT, got any recommendations for me? I'm leaning towards getting a Canon T2i or a 7D to replace my XSi. but, I don't know which one to get... (I'll probably get the T2i with a better lens or the 7D as a kit, but I probably won't get to use or even know all the features of the 7D).
thanks!

is this a short or full length feature?

That being said, I think you should invest more money towards lenses. I had a 20D for four years, which is an incredibly low-end DSLR, but I invested all my money in expensive L series lenses to compensate for it. It's really all about the photographer's eye and his/her set of lenses. Lastly, I also love the 5D's amazing depth of field and low light capabilities, which are noticeably more than the 7D or T2i, but they're both good bang for buck if you don't have the extra dough...
... But then again you have an M5 and went to USC =P

Honestly, if those are your two choices, price difference aside, the 7D is hands down a better choice. Aside from image quality and a nicer kit lens (sell it for more and put it towards a nicer lens), you've also got better weather sealing and build quality. Even the shutter :click: feels that much better. Also, you get 19 autofocus points vs the 9 you get on the t2i. The 7D is also rated at 150,000 actuations while the t2i only has 100,000. Sure 100,000 clicks/photos is a lot, but that extra 50k sure means a nicer build quality. OH, and you've also got a fps thats hampered by the SD card. Your continuous shots are limited in speed to the SD card and max out at 3.7 fps. The 7D uses a CF card and hits 8 fps.
I went from the XSi to the 50D and love the jump. The T1i felt too similar to the XSi (which i had for a weeK). Sadly, I want a 5D MK II or a 1D now but I'm forever keeping the 50D as a side shooter. I also have a Nikon D80 but I prefer Canon glass so I stick to Canon.
Also, Canon just had some rebates that ended. You might find some places that still honor the lower prices. If not, theres a current promotion for the 50D http://downloads.canon.com/cpr/softw...ate_040410.pdf

?

So awesome to see it in full video action
