Thanks for the responses guys. I am absolutely in love all over again with the car! I can see so much better, and everything just looks OEM and Mercedes like. It took a lot of pain, blood, sweat, tears, and work, but it turned out a LOT better than I could imagine. Ran into a couple of issues with the projector and cheap plastic headlight, but we got it to work through perseverance. If I could only get a nice DSLR shot; point/click cameras just don't do the lights justice! If you're in Socal and want to check it out for yourself, it'll be even better. There's so much blue and purple, it amazed me. Alas, the headlight lens with the glare lines kill a lot of the color and intensity, but it is still badass. Maybe in the future I'll get some Sonar headlight lens (they don't have glare lines) and put it on; it'll totally pwn OEM BiX easy. The high beams work like a charm, and they ARE the ISHT. I don't know how a regular OEM 203 BiX high beam cutoff is, but mine is simply amazing. My friends tell me that I'm literally a wall of light in front of them, and it's aimed just right where I don't blind people badly,
.
A DIY for this would be kinda complicated, as each headlight/projector requires different things. Like on the Depos, shroud cutting is definitely needed, along with tweaking of the FX projectors. I could only have done this with Mike's help; his experience made this project smooth sailing. What I suggest would to be visit HIDplanet.com and go through the forums researching. Like with the DEPO's, you need a projector that is small enough so that you won't need to modify the headlights as much. You're limited in options because the way the headlight is. There is absolutely no way I would be able to fit TSX/TL/S2k projectors with out heavy modifications to the chrome cover. But with other brands of headlights like the Eagle Eyes or Sonars, there is a larger choice of options because there is no visible shroud. If I don't make sense, I'm sorry, I'm not the type that would be able to explain very well, but i believe that researching is fundamental, and HIDPlanet or other forums would help in that regard.

Yeah bro, you should definitely consiter doing this. It might be a bit of work, and you might be out of a car for a bit, but this will definitely help you out with visibility and safety. And boy does it look so good!

i dont know if its exactly a e55 replica in terms of measurements, but from the looks of it. It looks like it would be a direct swap pretty much. There better hid projectors out there, but the e55's would be superior then any projector you would get in a aftermarket head light.

If the projector in the depo is the same projector in the eagle eyes than its dimensions are completely different than an e55. the e55 is a 3 inch and the projector in the eagle eyes are a 2.5.

what glue do you use to reseal the lights...any links of where to buy them from........the only part that scares me is using the heat guy to remove the clear lense, I am scared that I might burn it up......is there a special trick or some thing that one should follow. I mean heat a portion and them use a screw driver or some thing to seperate that portion of the lense form the housing. Some direction would be helpfull..............I AM NOT THROWING MY DEPOS IN THE OVEN for sure I will bake them, plus it will be difficult to remove the complete lense quickly before the hoursing starts to cool down............any thoughts..........

you wont burn the lens. i put my headlights in the oven at 250 degrees for 10 min or so to melt the glue. I have put plenty of headlights in the oven to melt the glue and it's never damaged it as long as you make sure you put a towel underneath the headlight and you dont have any part of the headlight touching the metal inside the oven.
Use nissan sealant to put the lens back on.

the towel wont set fire, it might get slightly browned on the bottom from touching the metal grill in the oven but that's all. You only need one roll of sealant. There's enough in that roll for maybe 4 headlights. If you dont take off the old sealant then you just need to lay a thin layer of the new sealant on there. It wont need much since there's already a good amount in the assembly.
I can send you a DIY on baking the lights if you want, pm me your email. It's a DIY for an rsx but the procedure is pretty much the same. oh yea and the time and temperature can vary slightly.

I assume you still have your OEM lights? I would just reinstall those and work on the depos as time permits. They are not that hard to take apart you just have to be careful not to break anything as they are on the flimsy side. I was able to retro the e55 projectors in my depos in under an hour once they were taken apart and it looks oem like it came that way.. I will post pics of my entire setup once I finish.. I pretty much rebuilt the Depos with oem gears for the leveling all the flimsy stuff replaced with oem and my hid ballast will be bolted on the bottom of the headlights just like oem that will be easy to disconnect incase of replacement
.

The newer maximas use stanley like in the g35 and tsx.
So you were able to confirm that the e55 projector is bolt on to the depo?
It would be a cheap upgrade to real HID projectors since you can buy e55 projectors for less then $100.

Hey TemjinX2
Did Mugen have to cut the reflector housing to fit the fx-r projector into the mounting holes?
I can't seem to fit the fx-r projector into the mounting holes or less I cut some of the reflector housing down or trim it.
