Gauge Pod idea

I used to drive a nissan sentra and i had a gauge pod that i made, unfortunately I got hit and the car was tottaled I still had the gauges laying around and I was itching to do something with them so i figured I would create one that would fit in the ash tray of the benz since I dont use it anyway. Well here is the first try at it. Let me know what you think. BTW the oil pressure sending unit is still not hooked up so that why its showing 100psi in case someones wondering)

Bondo mock-up (before lots and lots of sanding)

some "carbon fiber"

the connections. I added quick disconnects to the wires so that way I can always go back to stock and plug the cigarette lighter just back into its old plug.

the final test fit

daytime

night time

let me know what you think? any suggestions are welcome. I will probably redo this once i get some more time again since the bondo cracked on one side a little bit because of the curves

Seems a bit rough, is this the final outcome? Or is that mold able to be smoothed out? It's very nice, nonetheless.

The first pic was the first bondo coat on top of the foam form. I had to keep fitting it in between coats because there isnt too much room to play with in terms of clearance where the shift surround fits back into place. I guess I shouldve taken a pic of the final sanding before paint. Its still no perfect mostly because I know where all the imperfections are lol.

yea the oil pressure isnt hooked up yet nobody seems to know what thread the stock sending unit is and the one thats on the left is a voltmeter because I wanted to make sure I was hooking up to the right wires before getting the boost and oil pressure gauge hooked up.
