the coupe sills are rare and only formymercedes sells them apparently.. however for your sedan, you have many choices, try formymercedes & ebay... C-class sounds "bad", id stick with mercedes-benz, or amg/brabus if you have their mods....

The 2nd to last post is what i did to retrofit the standard EL door sills i bought from formymercedes.com to make it look more OEM-like.

This is exactly what I used to have installed. Its a chrome sill plate surround that mounts directly over your stock door sill trim.

The LED light plate sits underneath the lettering that you see and the lettering itself can also be removed.

it sticks to the top of your stock sill? yikes that sounds cheap...especially for $280 or w/e they want for it nowadays.

I have the same exact ones MbzC230K has, although I chose not to install the additional blank sill because I figured it'd get scuffed up easily. I got them from formymercedes, and installed them right after I got my car in November 2006. Haven't had any issues whatsoever, and it's a mod EVERYONE always compliments me on.

As for these sticking on top of the original sills....I too thought it would look cheap, but after installing them, they look really good and very much OEM-like. Back many years ago, there was someone on here who would modify the "Mercedes-Benz" logo on the existing door sill to make it EL, but I think his company went under. Still, these from formymercedes are definitely high quality and worthy of your C-Class.

Yes, it comes with the double side tape that is ready to go. just peel and stick. It also comes with a small digital power box that needs to wired into the electrical before you stick the sill on. The shoddy red rectangles highlighted in the pic shows where the tape is and the red arrow notes that the entire underside area has double side tape already. I recommend using a lubricant spray so you have a little playtime to align everything before the tape settles into place. GL!

so I began the install of these puppies today and of course ran into my share if issues...

1) the directions on there website are retarded - written by one of their customers who calls the provided strand of wiring a "transformer?" took me a minute to figure out wth he wanted me to wire the "LED logs" to that was a "transformer?"

2) Driver side goes on pretty much identical to the directions, good power, and turns on and off with the door ajar button thing...however now the driver side "one-touch" window feature won't work in the up direction. Apprently the constant power supply the instructions asked to tap into was the power supply to the window regulator. But why the up "one touch" feature ceases to work baffles me.

3) Couldn't get any power to the passenger side. It's identical to the driver side and all my taps are making contact with the wiring itself but still no power. Can't figure out for the life of me whats the dilio (plus i believe i blew a fuse in the process b/c now that window doesn't work at all and the light under the switch for the window on the passenger side is out) go figure.

4) anyone got any thoughts to this?

i read the instructions on the FMM website for the C class but it's not easily
discernable, presuming you used these instructions, why it is/n't functioning
properly....as well as the inop statuses of your windows/lighting. are these
the instructions you used?
