never saw any thread like this before. but i was cleaning the inside of my car earlier and i was just soooooo getting annoyed at these things..

Driver side door panel

cant fix them coz its gonna cost me the whole sunroof assembly and the whole door panel to fix... ugh... dont wanna be impractical.. it still serves its purpose anyway..

whats your issues with your w203?

remote doesn't always unlock the car, works about 18% of the time.
Took the C pillar a part this evening and checked all the connections, worked for about an hour.

ESP error comes on every startup. Did the lock-to-lock steering angle sensor reset, didn't help. MB thinks it is a $500 module in the dash

Why the whole door panel. Isn't it just the handle that is broken?

Oh wow. The things I hate the most...

1) Fixing the clicking sound from the broken plastic AC actuators in the 01-04 W203 and CL203... This is a hugely expensive fix to pay for and takes forever to DIY.

2) How much it costs to fix any sunroof issues. Especially w/ the CL203

the sunroof i never looked into.. but im guessing its gonna be allot.. i was inspecting those rubber things earlier and they are stuck together to the side of the glass so its probably a one piece part...

To Patrick and everybody else with the broken door problem... just CRAZY glue it :p.
Obviously make sure not to get any on the door panel itself but my bro took some regular crazy glue and glued it in 2 seconds and it hasnt broken off since. Mind you I remember not to pull very hard but give it a try before going through all the hassle and money of replacing the handle.

Edit: Most annoying thing I can't fix on my car is the driver's side headed seat bottom cushion, back heats up nicely but bottom cushion is broke

Patrick the handle should be fixable just the new part and unscrew old part that broke off and screw in new one. Unless i am missing something

only thing wrong with my car is the clicking sound from the broken AC actuator. It works but ticks a lot. It also syncs fine it just likes to tick at me on some days very annoying. Since it syncs fine i refuse to pay or spend the hours taking my dash apart to replace it.

oh forgot that my nav unit's cd drive does not work so it is not really a nav unit but i only bought it for aux input so don't really care. I got it for so cheap i am surprised it even turns on at all.

I don't like it that my calipers are stained up and I can't seem to get them back to new-looking.

If it is really, really hot in the car (like it has been sitting in the sun in the summer), the rear window sunshade won't work until the A/C has cooled the cabin temperature down a bit. I think it's got to do with heat expansion on the dash button. It's not a big deal at all.

Those are the only two problems my car has that are annoying, but since they are operable, would make no sense to spend $ to fix. The steering makes quite a bit of popping noise and has for the past 7000 miles or so, but those are bushings I just haven't got around to replacing yet.

The handle was very easy to fix! I popped off the panel and replaced the door-grab under an hour, parts was about 70 bucks, including new tools!

+1 - the door handle is a relatively easy fix - no need to replace the door panel, just the handle. You need to pop the door panel off, then replace the handle fro the back as well as the front.

I have the same problem with the sunroof. Was hoping someone would 'go there' to fix and post a DIY...

1) ac/heat is stuck halfway between face vents and heat vents. i dont mind in the winter, but i hate the cold a/c freezing my toes in the summer

2) bottom cushion seat heater doesnt work, of course the lumbar one still works...

Ditto - dealer wants stupid money to replace the actuator.

What happened to your car? Mine is quiet. The only rattle I'll experience is the occasional rattle of change in my ashtray.
