Michelin Primacy MXV4 vs. Toyo Versado LX?

I narrowed down to two choices as a replacement. I never knew about Toyo Versado until my recent visit to a local tire shop. Even with recent $70 rebate offer for Michelin, the total cost for four tires comes out to be about $100 cheaper for Toyo Versado. Can anybody offer opinions on these two tires? Does the quality and performance of Toyo last throughout its life? Thanks.

If I were you, I will go with Michelin. $100.00 is not much different for people driving a MB.

Michelin, no question. Primacy's are great tires. Don't skimp--$100 is equivalent to a nice meal--easily worth it when you think that you'll get 3+ years (40,000 miles) of solid grip, safety, and quiet driving. Skip a dinner out if you need to, don't save money on tires.

Once you try Michelin no other tire exists.

I like the Michelins. Toyos always seem a bit louder too.

Put Primacy's on mine several months ago and don't regret it. Compared to the original Michelin Energy Plus tires that I took off I have noticed these things:

The Energy Plus tires had better cornering grip. The Primacy's seem to be a little less stiff.

Both tires are very quiet. I believe that the Primacy's are quieter than the Energy's were.

The Primacy's are definitely better in the rain. I don't have any feeling yet with snow.

Highway speeds are grand but as I said above, slightly more sway when turning quickly.

I'm overly picky and am still pleased with the Primacy's. The ONLY thing is they appear to be less wide than the Energy's even though the specs are "technically" the same. So other than their slightly less racey appearance, outstanding tire.

Thank you for all your inputs. This is going to the first tire change for my C320. I have been very happy with the Michelin Energy that came with the car and it lasted 50,000 miles. I decided to post this question because someone highly praised Toyo Versado for its performance, especially quietness. At this time, I am leaning toward the Michelin.

Toyo T1R FTW. Best tires I have ever owned. Wear is alright, it tends to wear out quickly but the grip and performance is sooo worth it. Heavy rain flying down the freeway at 90mph without the Traction Control coming on.

The Primacy MXV4 is being recommended? I understand Michelin makes some good tires, but they're often not worth the price premium in my experience. Until they make their prices more reasonable, I'll not be a Michelin customer. I have Continental DWS tires on my C230 and they've been great.

The Primacy MXV4 is fine as long as you have no expectations of any sort of spirited driving. You can do better.

Whoever said you'll get 40,000 miles out of Primacys - that's not saying much. I got 30,000 miles of very spirited driving out of Kumho ASX tires that were relatively cheap. I've been so impressed with them that for years all my cars wore ASXs. I decided to try for more life and that's what dictated my switch to DWS. After 12,000 miles they are wearing extremely well.

I am somewhat surprised that so far no one has advocated for Versado. It is a relatively new model in the Toyo luxury touring lineup. But, it is not that new and I am sure there are people out there who have purchased and experienced it.
