I have warned you many times through PMs and also in person and you still make fun of my lack of height. Just because I have dwarfism you don't have to always imply that I am "young" and you can just say it straight up that I am short. As a matter of fact I am older than Milkman but because I am considered a "Dwarf" I look "younger" but really am 3 feet shorter.

Thanks for letting everyone on the forum know that I am only 3 feet tall..*******

In other news I brutally spanked a gti the other day. So you might only need say 27 hp. It wasent stock either, the guy definetly had a bypass valve, because that thing was loud.

The guy was a real jerk too cutting people off by crossing a solid line. I had to screw with him, but didn't think I would walk him like I did.

I totally spanked a GTi last nite... Then I realized that it was following me home... Then I remembered that it was my gf in her Rabbit... Damn working 12 hours yesterday totally mixed me up.

I mentioned this at the Cerritos meet but I once raced a GTI and that thing spanked me off dig. We couldn't really push it but off the line it just took a jump. There was too much traffic on the road but we still were able to play and that thing fought me off pretty well. It was the new GTI. It was debadged but I'm sure it wasn't the R32.

THE C350
Remember its all how you use that power when you are racing with cars with such similar power. My dad has a 2010 gti and yes it is fast but if you have an idiot driving it my car could take it along with a c230. My car could beat an slk55 from stop light to stoplight lol. (in the rain) My dads slk55 was awesome but in the rain you had to use the gas pedals very carefully. Once in the rain i was following my dad in his e320 cdi. He was trying to loose me so we made a right hand turn onto a 3 lane highway and i ended up in the fast lane because i hit the gas to soon lol

The universal turbo will work but you will still need a lot of modification. They just supply you with the hardware.

You will need to do modifications to the plumbing.
You still will need to get custom headers.
You still will need a custom tune.

Usually these universal kits have bad turbos. The most important thing on a turbo is the bearings. Crappy bearings means couple of pulls and your turbo is done. Also the fins are very important. If the fins are chipped or cracked that thing can be a grenade, no joke that thing will brake apart and act as shrapnel. Turbos spool insanely fast.

All engines are different but I read a rule of thumb is:

Turbo: 4psi on a 9:1 compression
Centrifugal supercharger: 9psi on a 9.1 compression
Roots supercharger: 6psi on a 9.1 compression

Our engines have a compression ratio of 10.7:1

Typically again this is different on all engines but a 8.5:1 compression seeing 6psi of boost jumped the compression to 12:1

I hope my little information came handy. Also with boost you have to have the perfect tune. Couple of members with their C32 (supercharged) have a tune because of a pulley upgrade and they are seeing problems.

If you want something fast and only fast then get a 335i (I honestly hate the way they look). Sorry BMW fans.

Sometimes when I visit the G35 forums I read soo many problems with cars even with reputable specific kits (Greddy and etc). Atleast once a month someone's car get's messed up. I say if you're car wasn't built for FI then stay away.

Nah high performance NA cars make the best turbo cars. Just look at the K20. nissans are just the most poorly made cars on the road, thats why they have problems. Seriously have you ever driven one, infinity's are only a better interior not a better engine.

It's kinda unfair to compare a K20 (essentially a truck engine) to a VQ. There's also a big difference in developmental years in the two engines.
Let's just slap a V8 Tundra motor in and turbo it to holy heck and call it a day. lol

wat? K20 honda engine, NA 2l, takes a turbo and puts out 500whp all day long. Any more information on its relation to a truck engine?

At the end of the day more development means a better product... If Nissan didnt put in the work for their VQ and it fails at low boost, then its just a crappy product because its made by nissan (see my other post).

Do you think mercedes puts more or less R&D into their products then nissan?

My mistake. I thought you meant KA20. It's more fair to keep the engines in the same family, so I assumed you kept your Nissan engines together.

Also, I never said anything in relation to MB research. I meant the years between the two family engines. Stop being so combative over a misconstrued post. Anyway, I sorries.

pulley isn't causing problems. i think some people might just have bad tunes. with my Eurocharged 185mm pulley and Renntech tune, I am safely hitting 21 psi in 3rd.

agreed with the 335i comment except i do like how they look. they are very moddable, but many are actually having issues both releated and unrelated to aftermarket modificaitons (turbos blowing early, some with no oil cooler, etc). they can be made QUITE quick though....to a point where they can be significantly quicker than the E90/92 M3.

but these are all out of range for the college student budget

so to the OP, either:

1) hold on to your car. It is nice, safe, luxurious. don't put performance mods on it. you won't get the return in hp you are looking for

or

2) sell it and get something else if you want the hp. EVO, WRX/STI, LS1 something, etc....

From what I have heard stock to stock the 335's 1/4 mile time isn't that far behind of the M3's. So I can imagine with couple of tunes that thing will the M3. Are you still looking for a 335? I remember you wanted to sell your car and get one.

the 335i's are severely underrated from the factory....i mean they dyno about what a stock c32/55 dynos.

i've pulled an E90/92 M3 pretty good (and he had the jump)....and i've seen a 335i at my shop put down a good 20whp more than me. those things are beasts.

yah i like the 335i, but still love my 32. i wont get anything back for it...its worth like 12k right now (02, 93k miles, no nav but everything else). 335i's are still in the upper 20s. out of my price range now that i'm about to take on a MASSIVE AMOUNT of loans for medical school (i start in july). so that is on hold at the moment. if i see a deal i can afford though, i'd consider it or a 135i
