Mercedes version of the Volvo S60 concept? But why, it was ugly as a volvo and just as ugly as a mercedes. Is this what the next generation of cars is going to look like?

I like it but then I like the Volvo. Volvos tuck in far more in the rear.

EDIT: I should have said tuck in the cabin far more in the rear

There's a lotta CLS design influence there. Kinda too fluid. I like the abrupt agression in the 204's stance and facia.
What I'm more interested in seeing are the new CLS and E-Wagon.

Looks absolutely horrible IMO. I see Chris Bangle's design influences are still floating around the auto industry even though he is out. Really unfortunate step back in overall design on the C-Class AGAIN Sorry Glyn, guess I am just old school and appreciate classic styling, since I don't care for the styling of most cars built in the last 5 or so years.

I really like this one that you posted Glyn. I'll take that over any Benz (will take the Cosworth 190e over it)

Ya they really are. Is it me or does the front look wider than the back? The front wheels look more popped out. I think some nice big lip wheels will go well with the car. The front fender looks it grooves out more.

Now that you mention it, it does look wider up front. Maybe the angle of the pic

looks like more of a mini e-class. I'm more interested in the drive train. If there really going to offer a v6 tt and a v8tt.

The CLK was replaced by the E Coupe.
Keep in mind that the CLS is designated the 4-door coupe.

To each his own John I also tend to be conservative but the Barolo Red car is probably closest to final & I really like it. Certainly some Bangle-esque side treatment. I still like cars to have rubbing strips instead of unprotected slab sides - call me old fashioned!

If anyone had the ***** to build exactly that it would become a modern day classic. Trouble is they won't - Too scared of offending their conservative base. It has modernised all the old SL300 styling cues into a sedan.
