Enkei Rpf1's; does anyone have them?

Hi guys,

I'd like to get a set of enkei rpf1's however I'm not sure if they're going to work, and would really like to see what they might look like on the car.

I'm going to be buying an '05 c55amg and whichever wheels i buyt, I would like to have them here to put on the day I pick up the car.

I know they make the rpf1's in 18x8 et35 and 18x9 et35. The front I would need hubcentric rings but the rear is already the right size center bore.

Im concerned they might not fit over the brake calipers.

Does anyone know if they will or wont work? If anyone has any pics that would also be amazing.

Thanks in advance

James

usually the rpf1 will fit over bbk because they are designed to be racing wheels. Since you'll be having to put wheel spacers on I pretty sure you'll have enough clearance for the brakes. What you can do is call enkei and see if they can make custom ones for your fronts.

I was in the market for those wheels and spoke with King at Enkei. The 18x9 was special order from Japan, but they did not have them. Would be August or so before they could produce them. He turned me onto the new PF01. They have them (front and rear) in the U.S. and should have the hub rings in the country by now. Definitely give Enkei a call.

Why would I have to use wheel spacers? Just as a refrence I looked on tire rack and pretty much every 8" wide wheel has a +35 offset

Because if you're buying an AMG you're gonna have a bbk on it so most likely a 35 offset is going to be high and it might hit the calipers. I have cls500 18x8.5 wheels on my front of my c230 and the offset are +28 et I believe and I had to get 3mm spacers cause I had less than 2mm of clearance from my wheels and my calipers. But to make sure you should see what the normal offset is for the car so you know if you need spacers or not.

RPf1's are time attack wheels or just racing wheels due to their lightweight strong characteristics they create less rotating weight at each corner therefore less rotating inertia. The wheels themselves are great, rather get a set of VOLKS for street use, but they are for everything, steering response with lighter wheels is by far more responsive. These aren't made to see potholes, but if you are from the Japanese scene they aren't like Rota's either. If you know what im talking about.

If your into this style of wheels, you should look into the ADVAN RS

I had them on my s2k and loved them. Just as many say though I don't know how they're
going to look on a Benz... I still have a lot to figure out considering I just learnt the amg doesn't have a LSD may not be the biggest ordeal though as I am trying to get away from the boy racer look and more into the classy look

Someone recently got 17'' RPF1's on the forum. I forgot the user, but it didn't look bad. I'd get them in a lower offset and concaved though

Only problem is enkei only make a 8" and 9" rim in the 5 x 112 bolt patern both with +35mm offsets. if I wanted a lower offset I would have to redrill a 5x114.3 wheel

I really haven't honestly I'm still looking at cars; i'm torn between the c55, the new c300 since it's manual, 545i again for manual, or even just keeping my 04 accord and just saving money
