Updating the ESL, ESI and adding ZGS, AAC and Keyless Go to an 2002 CL203 W203

Updating the ESL, ESI and adding ZGS, AAC and Keyless Go to an 2002 CL203 W203, as the steering wheel column before 08/2002 manufacturing date is different, and after end of 2004 prod date ESI is different adding more functions as well as the newer keyless go which we see with the newer chrome edge keys.

I am updating not only my body from CL203 to CL203-2 but the wirings and electrical components as well, so i just got my new used components. They are all from 2006 SLK 55 AMG , and are all of W211, the direct fit for mine were the W209 ones but since i didnt find them i will rewire the conectors so i can use the W211.

Will post some pictures this days so you will have a better idea.

good luck. Usually when you mess with german electrics, you get a lot of head aches.

OK guys so i finished retrofitting, the 2005 steering wheel column into my 2002 as you all know in 08/2002 all W203 and CL203 went to the newer full CAN stile control as they used the w208 and later w202 controls on the wiper ESP sensor cruise control and clock spring.

so all worked just fine except for the high beam switch witch is flickers when hold towards the driver, i will connect to SDS and see what is the issue tomorrow.

the wheel buttons still dont work because the old up to 08/2002 stile uses direct connection to the EZS, but the new one does it by CAN so since my EZS is the old one i will replace it with the one i already got out of slk55 amg witch shares the same one with the w211.

will post pictures tomorrow on the rewiring and the SDS adaptation on some of the modules.

also working on a easy way of getting shift pedals to work without reprogramming the tranny and without the need of replacing so many components if you have pre 2003 C Class

So is there any more info on keyless go?

Check out my recent mod

Got it online for like $20, now if I could only get it to work. I have been pondering what I would need to get a keyless go system to work for my car.

Here's a list of parts:

R/L front door handles for keyless go
R/L front door locks for keyless go
R/L front door modules 4 total I think
various receivers 4 as well
Keyless go module in the rear of the car
Trunk handle for keyless go
misc. wiring
Maybe a new EIS so I could have a keyless go type key
and a whole shifter for keyless go

From parts.com, the price for parts alone is right around 1k

I would still need to have every thing programmed, installed, and get a new key programmed for my car.

Check out this link: w211 keyless go diagram

W203 slightly modified
The parts are going to cost 3000 Euro. About 4500 USD.
