Hey folks,

Haven't posted in a while, but recently my car has developed a slight hiccup.

i have the m111, and recently I've had an issue with losing boost. Didn't think too much of it, the car just lost a bit of power.

But now the CEL is on, I took out my trusty obdII scanner and P0243 came up.

So it's the Supercharger wastegate solenoid A.

Can someone enlighten me as to where this is located?

Is it the so called "recirculatory Air flap" that's located on the front of the engine, beside the intake, under the oil catch can?

I'm thinking it's this because when I try to reset the "air flap" sometimes it fails to reset, just dosen't want to move.

Any info would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Dion

read that thread a while back, everything aside from this code is in order.

I've reset the flap several times, haven't solved the issue.

I just want to make sure that the P0243 code refers to the correct part I want to replace.

Thanks

thats probably the correct part since it doesnt work sometimes when you reset it. Just take it out and take it to a MB shop and see if they test it to see if it is really the probably.

What could cause this code to go on? Can a simple air leak cause it?

I'm 90% sure that an air leak will not cause this code. It was only resolved after the reciculatory air flat was replaced.

I'm getting confused trying to find information on the recurcilatory air flap. This is the part right on top of the supercharger manifold under the black box, correct? I read that if the ignition is on but the car is off it'll make a humming noise. Mine does that, so does that mean I just need a reset?

Is under the oil catch can. reset it, if it comes back, you're gonna have to replace it.

Alright I'll look into it. I also need to replace my PCV pipe, I was reading on a slk forum and someone stated that could be causing the CEL. I'm not sure if it's better to put a small filter there or just replace with the stock one. Any suggestions?

Is that different from the process of resetting it? Where you move the flap from its original position and turn the ignition?
