PAINT TOUCHUPS. Dr Color Chip?
Hi Guys,
I have a minor swipe mark on my 2006 w203. I live in Melbourne, Australia and was going to try Dr Color Chip but they don't ship to Australia. The one on Ebay is at $100 (incl. P+H), though it seems a bit dodgy. Does anyone know a reliable place that ships Dr Color Chip to Australia?
or can anyone recommend a product or repair place in Melbourne, Australia that can help me touchup the swipe marks. I'm willing to spend up to $200.

My car is Diamond Black Metallic and I got some Dr. Color Chip for some chips I had. I wasn't that impressed - or rather I wasn't as impressed as I was about the videos they show. I don't think they're lying, I suspect it works better on non metallic colors. It did look better after I tried it on some chips, but not as good as the videos suggest.
I should also say that I may not have used the proper technique. It's one thing to read the instructions that tell you to smear it on your car and wait a few minutes and it's another to actually do it (I don't want smeared paint on my car! ). So I may not have left it on long enough for the optimum finish - it did not leave a smear as I feared though so you needn't worry about that (though I probably still will the next time I try it ).

Hum, could you post a picture of the swipe?
A swipe doesn't really sound like the type of thing you would use touch up on.
Honestly, touch up normally looks bad even on its appropriate purpose, chips. I have used Dr Colorchip and its competitors. A couple times I got 'Ok," results, but honestly it's normally best not to fuss with it.
Now if the swipes are very light scratches or paint from another car, you might could take some of it out with a polish.

Thanks for the feedback guys, as advised; I avoided using Dr Colorchip & ended up getting the proper Merc touchup paint from a Merc Dealership.
I ended up wet sanding the area -> rubbing Meguiar's Ult Compound -> touchup paint -> polish.
TY all & Mac911; most of it came off with a good polish with the Compound.
