Idling at 2500rpms
Also, I let my sister use it today and she was left stranded at an intersection because the throttle did not do anything at all. I looked up the TPS symptoms and it doesn't seem to be related. I also did not get a CEL.

Try to read from the beginning. The resolution is on post #40. Not sure if all of your symptoms are sounding like how my car was acting up, but if so, I would def. try this route.

I should add that right after I do a throttle reset, the car is normal. When I turn it off and back on again, it goes crazy again.

A throttle reset should recalibrate this !!!!
It can be reset with a Star but the throttle reset should achieve the same thing. The CPU has somehow remembered where you moved the actuator to as idle

Do a throttle reset then multiple reboots
Let us know what you find.
