Idling at 2500rpms

Idling at 2500rpms
So I fixed the CPS problem and the car starts fine now. It now has a very high idle which a throttle reset did not help. I also disconnected the battery for a bit and reconnected it just in case. When i had the MAF out in order to get to the CPS easier, I went ahead and cleaned out the throttle body with a tissue and a couple squirts of TB cleaner. I cleaned the MAF as well. I don't know if i could have messed something up in the TB. I do remember pushing the TB valve open a little while cleaning.
Also, I let my sister use it today and she was left stranded at an intersection because the throttle did not do anything at all. I looked up the TPS symptoms and it doesn't seem to be related. I also did not get a CEL.

Try to read from the beginning. The resolution is on post #40. Not sure if all of your symptoms are sounding like how my car was acting up, but if so, I would def. try this route.

I should add that right after I do a throttle reset, the car is normal. When I turn it off and back on again, it goes crazy again.

Check those connectors & pins. That's wierd. The throttle actuator is not remembering it's idle synch. (actually the CPU)
A throttle reset should recalibrate this !!!!
It can be reset with a Star but the throttle reset should achieve the same thing. The CPU has somehow remembered where you moved the actuator to as idle
Do a throttle reset then multiple reboots
Let us know what you find.
