New Headliner!
I tore everything out and bought the sunroof shade along with the whole headliner for around $810.00. Don't make my mistake and damage your headliner thinking it won't cost much to replace!
Anyway, it's nice to see some fabric above my head instead of airbags and metal.

Removal of the headliner took 5 hours, installation took 7 hours. Absolutely no fun.

The new headliner looks like the same one in my car.. is it different material than the previous? My headliner seems like it would never sag.

Anyway, it's the same material. It'll sag eventually, give it a few years.
But when it does, I know I'll either have already sold the car, or if I still have it, I'll have the fabric torn off and reapply something nice.Edit: I was in no mood to cut out the vanity light holes into my crazily priced new headliner. It was 4 in the morning, no way. I can deal without them if I ever need to put on some lipstick while driving.
But yes, I love to do things on my own after seeing the way my car is treated at the dealer, and how much they charge.bdgdl, you were certainly right. Cost an arm and leg.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

EDIT - they do not cut the headliner because some cars have the vanity lights built into the mirror in the visor.

I was thinking with all of that time, energy and money invested...why you did NOT install IMS...that is one option I want on our w203...The feature makes so much sense!
In WIS...once the headliner is out...it looks like a cake walk to install!
Just curious?
