DEPO PROJECTOR HEADLIGHT CUTOFF

it would be better if the cutoff was like the one on the ad, foreground lighting appears better as well. Foglights would help remedy the foreground lighting issue.
Good thing about Depo projectors is that they are clear, sometimes you can play with better housings and slap depo lenses on and get insane hybrid results.
I used to retrofit and sell parts from headlights, man that was years ago when D1S first came out. Alot new projectors and stuff now I am not even familiar with. but s2k were always known for their lighting and cutoff. LS430 projectors were the best as in MOST output out of the headlight.
Another bad thing to keep in mind about depo housings is that they dont stand up to UV rays as well as OEM so those of you with no garages/shelters you will see your headlights start to cheddar up much sooner. For the price though you cant beat depos, they are awesome for retros as well if you want better output

Eww, Thanks for the info. The minivan stays in the garage and my Benz is outside, I really would hate my headlights to turn yellow..

Just cover it with something when not in use?

if you use the car daily wouldnt hurt to just throw a towel on them or something, something to block the rays, some guys just polish them when they start hazing and clear coat them but they hardly ever look like they do out the box they get them clear again but they still appear yellow. and I too hate yellow headlights, hate the ones that have cheddar all over them and you can hardly see the output. almost want to do people a favor and polish them at least.
here they look good for about a year because with the sun and the salt eating them in the winter they start to haze pretty fast. If you are going to retro them and put money in them I would just try to park in shade and if you arent going to use the car in a while like in days just throw something on them. a couple of hours of direct sunlight daily shouldnt do much not for a long while anyway. Ive heard of people planning to lightly wax them to provide some protection but am not sure as to the long term success of this. either way you should at least get 2 years out of them even more depending on how car is driven maintained and stored. So 350 bucks every few years isnt so bad you might even get rid of the car before then and just pawn it off to the next owner
if you ever see a car with bad hazed headlights they will almost always be older american cars, and aftermarket depo headlights

you can buff and polish them when they start to haze and then put UV sealing on the headlights to protect it from uv rays. If its still hazzy you can just buy new lens and replace them. I now they sometimes sell on ebay and other places

Because I think yellow lights are the most hideous things ever, I'll HAVE to get some kind of UV block for my headlights.. Or maybe ghetto-rig some kind of cloth that slaps on the headlight quickly?

you can just use car wax on the head lights to protect against UV damage. Its cheap and effective and i've done it on all my other cars without any problems.

That is some good info.....thank you Norwich.........I will definately look into that....would the case be same for the FX-R projectors.I mean the mounting points??? If some one can give me that info that would be superb as the FX-R projectors are Bi-xenon's......

As for the UV rays, I have this 3M clear sheild film that I plan to slap it on the lense....

Karo is right, the Projectors used in the Acura TL are quite perhaps the best and most used Xenon unit for a retrofit ever. I am planning on doing this as soon as I decide what I am doing with my car.

The TL BiX projector is too big if you want to go for that OEM look. The FX-R is definitely something to consider if you want BiX option for the Depo housings.

thanks for posting this, now I have an idea of what the depos projectors do with a HID kit in them, I was looking at this option for a while, but no one posted pics, kudos.
