HELP dealer broke part and expects me to pay
they just called me and said while pressing out the bearing the hub cracked
NOW they want ME to pay $1000.00 for the hub
now they broke it not me
so what can i do????
Now, if when removing the bearing, there was a problem with the hub itself and that's what lead to the cracking, the dealer may have a leg to stand on, but it will be next to impossible to prove that the problem did not exist before they started work. But keep pressing anyway if you think you are in the right here.

One question - what caused the bearing to fail? Did you curb it hard?
anyways i called mb canada left a message with the manager for my area and low and behold the dealer calls me back 35 mins later saying they feel bad and they will cover all costs (except the orig 1.5 hours to replace bearing) which i felt was fair
the issiue was they NEVER said it may break when they press it out so being they never warned me before hand its NOT my problem
anyways I will let you guys know exactly what happened when i get the car probably not till monday as they probably wont get the parts friday

Im pretty sure that they called the dealer thru as they were NOT going to do anything besides take 140.00 off the part
then called to say they value my bussiness and they will cover it now.....
either way I dont have to pay so thats good
