Can you identify this part? :)
) and I noticed that this part was broken. After all how hard would it be to miss it? I was wondering whats the name for this part and if any one by any chance has a part number or is there an aftermarket available? If you could please help, I would be very thankful!

Just go to your dealer and tell them you want a battery cover. Theyll be able to give you the part number and the price.

What happened to yours? Drop it, or did someone try to remove it without lifting the latches?
The filter that fits this cover is a paper pleated filter. All cars have that. The carbon filter is inside the passenger compartment, and is only supplied on the units with digital display of the temperature. Most cars do not have the carbon filter.

Moviela is right. The cover directs rainwater that goes through your hood in that vent. You'll notice there's also one on the other side of the engine bay. I'd be more worried about water getting into the filter, and we all know how well a wet air filter filters air. (a bit TOO well
)

See no 70 in this diagram. Those are the charcoal filters.

What I am saying is that there is also an aftermarket charcoal version of the primary filter. I just searched RM and they sell them for a couple of bucks more than the OEM filter. I'm going to give this a try when my current one goes.
