Question Front Roller Blind?

Hello everyone, I have been searching the forums for quite sometime now and I can't find the answer to my question. I just bought a 2004 C32 AMG and here in Florida it gets VERY hot. I was wondering if Mercedes ever made a roller blind for the front windshield? I don't want an electric one, just a manual. I think I may have found one that will work but I wanted someone on here to verify the part number: A203-784-00-09. Thanks for any help everyone!

that part number is for the front shade for the panoramic sunroof which is code 413. Right off the top of my head i do not know of Mercedes making one for the front windshield.

Thanks! That is what I thought, but the seller is advertising it as a front roller blind. Just wanted to verify with the experts on here.

Buy a universal version from ebay.

Or make a DIY. It's just a rolling system + mesh cloth.

People in China straight up walk up to driver's windows holding an assortment of car accessories trying to sell them in the middle of the road during red lights.

The window blinds they have are complete crap though.
Piece of those cheap holo-foil papers with a rolling mechanism along with suction cups/clips.

They sell for like 10RMB, which is less than $2usd.
So you get what you pay for. Lol.

I have used "the Shade" for years on all of my cars, and HIGHLY recommend them. Made by Dash Designs in Tempe AZ.

They are custom sized to fit your particular windshield, and attach to the windshield, rather than roll around getting dirty and greasy on the floor. Easy to use as well.

Here is the link for it at Dash Designs... http://www.dashdesigns.com/car-sun-shades

Thanks guys. I will take a look at "The Shade" that MB-BOB recommended as I already have a standard folding one and I hate having to pull it out and put it up everytime I stop. I like the fact that the recommended one is mounted on the sides of the windshield out of the way.

It's amazing how often you use this blind because it's always where you left it. It's a snap to reach across to the A-pillar and pull it across and snap it into the clip on the other A-pillar. Takes all of 4-5 seconds.

The ones that slide around on the floor getting dirty and greasy on the seat rails are never where you think they are, so rather than look for them, you just give up. I gave all these to my kids for their cars. They don't use them much, either.

I forgot to mention that the unit is removable when needed to clean the windshield, too.

A bit more expensive that the others, but well worth it.

Does it hinder your view out of the front windshield at all?

Not at all. In the stored position, it sits within the profile of the A pillar.

Not yet. I am a HUGE procrastinator. I will get one ordered soon and let you know how I like it.

I'm about to purchase "The Shade" that y'all are talking about and I wanted to ask about the 3M foam tape used in installation. I'm concerned it ruins the interior where it mounts, is impossible to remove, etc. Any comments would be appreciated.
