Mercedes C280 4matic 2007
Yah I figured that, but i'm getting the Avic put in and theres a whole separate menu for Pandora on it and I was hoping that it would accept the app on the Incredible, not just the iphone. I would get an iphone but I don't want to leave Verizon.

Ok thanks. Do you have an X920bt? Also, where does the tv out cable plug into on the Avic? I didn't see any component inputs on it.

Mercedes C280 4matic 2007
Just wanted to let everyone know that I am getting my Avic X920bt put in today. I will post pictures as soon as I can. Let's hope for no problems. Also, we got just under two feet of snow last night and my C280 4matic decided snow wasn't going to bother it. It's great on ice too.

The only issue I have is that the weather puts horrible marks on my car. They almost look like swirl marks, and I really can only notice them inside my garage under a light...Over the summer I washed and polished the car to near perfection. In winter I don't have a choice and I feel horrible. These marks are everywhere...They almost look like scratches but I know they're not because you can only see them under direct light. They're everywhere! It's a pain when the suns out and everyone looks at the Mercedes and just sees these marks. If anyone has any tips I would appreciate it.

Thanks again,
WM

These guys are offering the unit for $520 (checking if that include the shipping, and what is the warranty). Payment by Paypal, so easy to make a chargeback if there are any problems.

Does anybody know who is the actual producer of these??? It would help in case there are problems to replace under warranty.

On a good note, it supports CDC now.

This thread kindof ended with only Philly having one but alot of people interested.

you could always use a aux input to get Pandora in your car

If i remember correctly.. this ebay price is too high... you can get the parts from the dealer cheaper.... search for the part numbers for the pedals... the gas, brake, and e-brake.. they are posted somewhere on here...

also- if you are a mercedes benz club of america member (40ish bucks a year) most dealers will give you 10% off parts and labor...

good luck!!

I think i paid $75 for the three pedals. I didn't even think to check PN any where else but even if i did overpay i like them a lot.

questions about dynavin navigation

Philly_c230k,

Can you please give us some details that are not obvious from the pictures

- the illumination/brightness function from the dash applies also to the front panel of the head unit?

- does the navigation software somehow uses the speed signal of the car to update the cursor position on the map when you have no gps signal (entering a tunnel for example)

- does it relays the information about the song name / rds data / navigation instructions to the display in the dashboard? I have now an audio 50 aps in my car and it features all these functions that I would like to keep.

- if you have a phone connected to the unit via BT, does it displays the phone no / caller name on the dashboard display?

- what's the quality of the sound, the radio and tv reception quality. I found some users on a German forum complaining about the poor fm reception quality, but some other users on the same forum said that this problem comes from an incorrect wiring of the fm antenna, however the user who was complaining never came back to tell if he had solved the fm reception problem or not.

- and finally, the color of the back-light matches the color of the other buttons in the car? In your pictures I saw that it had a similar looking orange but on the dynavin site the pictures show the same unit with red back-light on the buttons.

excuse my long post but I have a lot of questions and the information's about this unit are pretty slim on the internet at the moment.

thank you

Not sure what you are asking. If you're asking whether or not you can adjust the brightness of the head unit using the dimmer in the car, the no. I haven't checked the settings on head unit itself to see if you can adjust brightness but I'm sure you can. I never had a need to adjust the brightness.

Don't know, but cursor will reset to current position once you regain your gps signal. I never paid attention to it when driving in a tunnel since the tunnel I've driven in isn't that long of a distance.

No. Phone number only but not caller's name will display on head unit.

FM Radio reception is very good where I'm at (U.S.) and I am using the factory antenna. I can't comment on what radio receptions are like in other countries. Sorry. I believe you can also buy a FM signal amplifier if you are getting low or poor FM signals.

The back-light color is a very close match to the rest of the buttons in the car. It's not exact but close enough. Put it this way, if you wasn't told that the head unit is aftermarket, you would think that the back-light and the look of the head unit was oem.

so the cursor stops moving when you lose gps signal?

so this thing doesn't use any vehicle speed info, that's a game changer for me

Like I said, I don't really know because I never paid attention to the cursor when driving inside the tunnel. I will verify this weekend when I get on the road again and post my findings.

I have the unit thanks to Philly's recommendation. There's an option in the navigation software that will allow the cursor to "predict" your cursor for 30 seconds, so to answer your question: yes, it does use vehicle speed info to follow you if you lose gps signal.

I'm not sure if it's just my installer or my unit, but I'm not getting any information on my dashboard. My phone keys on the steering wheel doesn't even work. I contacted the supplier and still waiting for an answer from Dynavin. Regarding data on dashboard, I was told that the CANBUS doesn't transfer data to your dashboard. BT quality is great as far as I know. No caller data when someone calls you, only on the unit itself. Didn't really pays attention to the illumination of the keys, but you can adjust brightness on the unit itself.

Thanks for your quick answers.

To be honest I was expecting that they didn't took care of those details but still I was hoping....The unit looks very good and it seems to perform well, also the price is very good considering all the features packed on it.

Uhmm the unit is pretty good for the price. There's just some little thing that isn't the best, but overall it's a good unit.
