Current Key Pricing - Arizona
If any of you are looking to replace your key with the newly styled one, Schumacher just sold me one for $215. That's the new style key and a new blade. Turn around is a day if you get in there in the morning when they open.

or you saying that you know someone who can do the programming? (if it's the latter, then I would be interested).

yep. just a VIN. I dont know if its due to new keys or whatever, but thats all they needed for mine. And the new style Key is worth the money even if you dont need a new one :p just looks so much better.
Cool beans, huh?

huh, well to the couple interested, I'll let you know. Maybe I wont get as lucky with the ease of obtaining your keys, however if they do require some tangible info, perhaps it wont be impossible to provide me with me either... in the name of saving a few bucks, why not?

here is the website for aristocrat.
http://aristocratmotors.com/
look up their number on there website and ask to speak to Mercedes Parts...
ive purchased multiple keys from there, but in person...
cars that my families purchased from there we just had our SA order extra keys during routine service... so we didnt have to show any proof of ownership..
the few keys ive ordered directly from parts i had to show registration and proof of insurance when i picked the keys up....
youll have to search this forum because there are 2 separate part numbers for the actual key fob and the metal key....
the metal key runs about 6-7 bucks... $125 sounds too cheap but call them and ask for the price.
they also give MBCA discount 10% on parts and labor.....
-good luck

I can see someones point on that.. But if they look up the VIN.. Look up your REG they can find out that your the owner. Give them your drivers LIC as well. To prove you own the car..
They do that just to make sure i don't pull someones VIN from the car down the street and in two weeks the cars in my garage. lol

You have to fill out forms that are sent into Mercedes before they ship the key. They cut the blade and program the key for your car before it is sent to the dealer. They have all of the security codes for your car in a central database. The key is sent prepped to activate a learning mode the first time it is inserted. It then pairs with your car and is "mated" at that point.

+1 And like the earlier reply, i had to come back to the dealership with the car so that they can see it in person. I had a different car the first time i went there and even with my registration in hand they still wanted to see the car. I paid $240 with tax.
