Why is it called 'BlueVision'
I'm so pissed off. A good member here sold me his Philips VisionPlus h7 bulbs a few weeks ago and after testing them out they weren't anything special, almost no difference between those and the stock. So I asked him if he can send me the BlueVision in exchange for the VisionPlus all along thinking BlueVision was just that - blue. Turns out they suck just as much as the VisionPlus except there not as bright and even worse are yellowish. Why do they call it BlueVision damn it if it aint blue?

You're not expecting HID Xenon-like performance from any of these, are you? If so, they are bound to dissappoint. The Vision Plus are supposed to be 30-40% brighter than stock... I found them to be brighter, but not much so to the human eye. But that's it. I have no experience with the Blue-Visions.
I've tried the Vision-Plus (55W) and the Philips Rally's (80W) and the Rally's are definitely brighter, but still not HID in intensity. If you can further swap the blue-vision for the Rally's that might be an option, just don't expect miracles for $47.

I feel your pain as I have shopped for about 4-5 sets of bulbs until i settled for the ones I got (which are great). What you need to look for and unfortunately what these "blue" bulbs makers dont advertise is the color temp. HID start at 4300k to 5000k (there are even 6000k ones now). After trial and error I bought a pair of Plasma Industries 4500k H7 bulbs. They are cool white (bluish) color but mostly pure white and brighter than stock (u can actually see the diff). Even the highly advertised Silvania North Stars are kinda crappy. I've tried pairs from name brand, expensive (import German ones), and find the plasma industries to be good (www.plasmaindustries.com). Only problem now is the guy that used to sell on Ebay is not in the business anymore and I dont know where to buy 'em. Good luck.

****, tallk about false advertisement. Plus, these things are expensive compared to the Farrenheit brand that I have for my low beams which are indeed a bluish shade even though they're halogen and an unknown company. I'd expect better from Philips.
Oh well thanks for the replies but I'm done with lights, I spent too much time trying to achieve a specific look for my hi's lo's and parking, and w.o HID it's a waste of time.

Haven't you realized yet that most advertising IS FALSE? Or misleading anyway...

Well if you get the right color temp (4500k and higher) and if the wattage is higher (i.e 80W instead of 55/60W...not that 100W plus stuff b/c i dunno if MB wiring can handle it) you should get a clean look close to HID. Now before the flaming begin, I'm not a moron and realize you cannot get halogen to match the INTENSITY of HID but 5000k HID bulbs and 5000k halogen bulbs have same temp color (duh). Whether u get the same beam intensity/pattern is of course a different story. Also, personally i've seen HID kits w/o projector housing and doesnt look all that different from some of the halogen bulbs. I personally like the happy medium of around 4500k (mostly white) and a lil brighter look. It gives the coupe (at nite) a nice look and distinct from others (well some). ALOT of these bulb makers unfortunately DO NOT show what color temp their bulbs are and that do give you the guessing work .

Yeah once these 100w bulbs die out i'm going to try the x degree bulbs. BTW are they regular H7 bulbs just a lot brighter because of the temperature or is it a different install?

Impressor, just remember what I told you to get. They are perfect for me, especially with 100W. And even if you don't like these either, at least they're cheap.

It's very simple - take it to your nearest Xenon dealer, they'll do it for you for $10-$15.
