About a month ago, Advance Auto Parts had a sale for $4 a qt. Even at that price, I don't think they were selling at a loss. So, the mark-up must've been 100%. May be it's a low volume item for the parts stores.

I always see people mentioning the 5 gal jugs at Walmart, but when I went to check it out, none was MB approved.
Yup, stock up.
I used Vavoline Synth that was on sale agt Kragens, also not approved, and man, they were
blowing it out for $1 a quart after rebate. I think it was only 3.50 to start with on sale.
They don't do rebates anymore, and no prices like that ever.
But as I said, it wasn't approved anyway, but sheeet, I mean
how bad can it be? But it's all used up now,
need new oil.

Got 18 quarts today. That 2 oil changes @ 7 quarts+ a couple xtra quarts for in between.
And yes, salle is over tomorrow. I hate spending 100 bucks to save 59, but that's how
much of a difference it makes with tax.
Hmmm....2 oil changes and I'll be at 185-190K miles....hope nothing breaks.
I put in some Redline FI cleaner today also.
