Sunday Afternoon Aux Install

taking it apart wasn't as difficult as i thought it would've been.

Testing if it worked or not. I found out that "tbirdsaw" wired it wrong cause it was making nasty noises on my right so i read the headunit pin diagram and figured it out.

had some extray cf vinyl i had laying around..(not 3M) easier than 3M.

I only had silver as it was the only roll i had left =/ but it actually came out really nice =)
my aux cable comes out from the ashtray area too. Didn't take pics as i just remembered now. Didn't want to go all the way to the aux hole in the passenger area.

Liking the vinyl and I'm sure it must be way more convenient having the aux go through the ashtray. Little jealous on that part. Good work!

Technically you can have 594 songs in the changer. Bad part about it is it doesn't display the title.
Great job on the Auxiliary install. I know on the 06 it's prewired and you just have to get the AUX jack from MB and hook it up from the glove compartment. Wonder why they changed it in 07.
Drew's car has a full hook-up in the glove compartment. It charges the iPod and he never has to take it out. Is that how the 05-06 cars work with the right equipment? Also, the 2005 cars 6CD changers will NOT play MP3 discs. FYI.

Haha dude i just realized that right now... no wonder i was missing some songs
but yeah i haven't had any problems with this aux setup and everything sounds really good.As for the vinyl. I'm pretty happy about it and the color actually matches the interior.

You simply just have to follow those instructions and you are set. I got the cable from the MB Dealers..don't remember the price as i got it wholesale through my dad.
As for the adapter that goes to the iphone... i bought it from my friend and this is the OG IPHONE and I need that headphone jack or i can't plug the aux to it =( all i know is it's from Monster.
I didn't also wire it through the passenger side cause it's really a B***h so i cut a hole through the ash tray and got the cable through.
Hope the link helps you! and Good luck
