W203/CL203/S203 TIRE Discussion Thread - Every question on TIRES
k im gonna bump this old thread. So people like the michelins that come on the standard 16 C320 wheel more than the goodyear and continental, right?
i dont have those tires because i dont have the 16" wheels but i would definitly prefer the Michelins over the good year or continentals.
Will 235/45/17 tires fit ok on original C7 17" wheels?
I'll use 235/40/17 instead.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
They also come with Michelin Pilot Sports, and maybe Pirellis. Some coupes come with Pirellis, but I'm not sure about the sedan.

1)i believe the tires that came with the car from the factory was 225/50/16 for the front, but what is the tire size for the back?
2)i think the factory tires that came with the car were michelin pilot sport hx? (please correct me if i'm wrong) i'm looking to replace these tires, and can anyone give me recommendations for better tires in terms of treadlife, performance, and handling for all-season ones for the same or if not cheaper price?
some tires i looked into were the yokohama avs db (i think s2?) and dunlop sp sport a2
thanks for all ur help
just a couple of newb questions for the 2001 c320 sedan with sport package.

They are the same size. Why do you ask? You got different ones on the back?
I believe there were several different brands used from the factory. Just do a search on this forum using terms like Kumho, Yokohama, etc.
so what are some lower priced, reasonably sticky, reasonably long wearing tires that you guys have personal experience with?
thx
The Kumho ECSTA Supra's are good to. I have them, and they are fine. They aren't a true performance tire, but they are dang good in the rain, which we have alot of here.. They are priced around 100 a piece
Bridgestone Potenza S03 Pole-Positions or Pirelli PZero Nero's Absolutly the grippiest street tires out there...

The tires that you're suggesting do not fall within that category.
hey could i get some recommendations on new tires? it's about time to replace mine and i really don't know what to get. I DO know i don't really want to spend $230 each to replace the conti's on my C7 wheels.

I have lowered my car with H&R spring. The shop told me that i have to put back my stock spring in order to install the wheels, is that true? Pls let me know, thank you very much.
