spacer tire question
just a question. I am putting a 10mm spacer on the front of my c320 ss to make the wheels that I got fit over the caliper. Should I put one on the back as well? Here is the set up. 18x8.5 all around. Front 225/40/18 and in the back 255/35/18. The back does not need a spacer the front does not fit over the caliper, so i do. (I got the longer bolts as well, all from H&R). Will this look bad with just the spacer on the front?
Please give some replies. I want some kind of educated guesses please

blkw203,
Yup...I'm running Front 19x8.5 et 31 or 32
Rear 19x9.5 et 35
In theory: if you use a 6mm spacer on an 19x8.5 et 38 rim, you turn that rim into an et 32 (you're pushing the wheel out and closer to the fender).
You could look at my car on the Official C-Class Picture Thread page 111

It's depend on the offset of the front and rear wheels. You probably won't notice the difference. Measure the horizontal space gap of the front wheels to the fender, may be you want to make the rear to have the same amont of gap. Wider spacers on the rear will give the impression of a staggered set wheels.

Im finally getting around to replacing my bald yokos..man 13k miles and they are slicks....car has been sitting in the garage for umm almost 2 months now with this rain (had a wheel issue...waited for replacements).
I'm mostly commuting now adays...not really driving the car too hard and we have been getting alot of rain but summer is round the corner.
Anyhow i need something longer lasting, yet still similar performance ive narrowed down to these 3. Anyone with experience with any of these?
BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2
or
Continentals Extreme contact all seasons (wears at 400)
or
BFG g-force sport

How about going with a tire with a mileage warranty? That way when they wear out at 15k you can get them prorated and put something towards the new ones.

I say go with the BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2's, I think they look the best and have the most aggresive tred design
. They even have a rim saver built into them. I had them on my truck, and they were great.
I plan on getting them when I get some wheels for my MB.

I had the Conti's and I like the Fuzion Zr1's much better.
Great in the rain and dry, made by Bridgestone, and for now at least, awesome price as they try to establish a new brand.
Are you intending to drive in the snow?![rice](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rice.gif)
Oh and BTW, the Conti's didn't last any longer than the
Michelin Pilots.
The 440 treadwear is bullsh_t

I had a flat on the rear of my coupe. Read the manual. MB includes a set of fuses, jack, wheel chocks, the tire inflator, even gives to a set of cotton gloves so you won't dirty your hands.
The lug bolts are there, hard to miss.

The compressor is supplied according to what kind of spare you have. My C320 came with a full-size spare/no compressor. Some times I feel jilted without the compressor, but there's no room for one with a full-size spare anyway.

mine was made 11/24/04 and came w/ the conti sport contact IIs. Gotta say, they have totally impressed me so far (2500 miles) in both the wet and dry. btw, I am running them at 34-35 psi, the door jam sticker calls for 28 front 32 rear, but that just seems too low for fairly hard driving. I have toured some Michelin tire plants and driven quite a few Pilots and Pilot 2s on the Michelin Laurens Proving Grounds and they are indeed truly impressive.
