Their is very little whine when the engine is just running, apon accelerating (even revving in neutral) up to 3k rpm the whine gets slightly louder and after 3k the exhaust drowns out the sound it seems. Maybe an A/C compressor? Possibly a power steering pump? Someone please provide some insight. ...
I suggest you to drop the drive belt and the engine for few seconds and see if that noise persists. With the belt off, if the noise continues, then the noise is engine related. If the noise goes away with the belt off, then one of the pullies/accessories on the belt is making that noise.

Can anyone help me out. I want to replace this on my car (2007 C230). However, the car has part number 0002020919, on the star there is another part number which has 2722021019. Do I reuse 0002020919 or replace with 2722021019? There also seems to be a note when you select this part 0002020919 on the star.

Thanks

THE C350
what is "on the star"?
Do you mean EPC?
If you question any part numbers ever the best way is to look them up on EPC it will tell you the old PN's but also gives you the newest one that you should order. Since you are in the USA its free to sign up just have to give them your CC info.
