Help on Installation of H&R springs on 03 C230k sedan
Does anyone know if i need any special tools to install H&R springs for my 2003 C230K sedan? I will be installing it myself and i was wondering what tools do i need. I know that i need a spring compressor but what else......

Yes, be sure to use a proper spring compressor like a Branick .

It would also help if you have the MB tool for the slotted nut on the spring retainer :

I've done spring installs before, but not on my C230 yet.

You'll need:
  1. Spring compressor
  2. Breaker Bar
  3. impact sockets
  4. Generic tools (ie- wrench set, metric sockets, etc...)
  5. a buddy
  6. and cheap beer

This socket is a Mercedes-Benz special service tool (W203 589 00 07 00). It is used to tighten the spring hat retaining nut on the front struts of the Mercedes-Benz C-class (W203) chassis.
