Aftermarket Wheels on Stock Springs

I'll make this short, I have a 4matic... I'd prefer not to lower the car and get either 18in or 19in wheels but wanted to see pictures first. I know it won't look great but just looking for an upgrade from my stockers. I've always had a lowered car with coilovers but I would prefer to keep stock springs and look decent since its my daily, Black 03 c240. I've looked around and saved a couple pictures but some I'm not sure if its stock suspension or not. Hate or not, thanks.

Yea it seems like the sport would be the perfect suspension, BUT I have the weirdly designed front suspension which severely limits my options. Really not trying to drop the car on stock shocks.

My car isn't a sport model, it looks like the one above that Xhale posted... SUV style in the front while decently low in the back... But H&R sport springs should fix that.

I say just get the SS suspension. theres always someone selling them for a pretty cheap price. Then get some #2 pads if you just buy the ss springs. It'll lower the car to the SS height, I believe your car has the #4 pads.

Do you think I could see a difference with new pads on my 4matic? Never really looked into the pads.

On top of what I already said, I was looking for more of a stock looking wheel, no lip in plain silver. Much easier to pull off on a higher sitting car. That and using a taller sidewall will fill out the well and it won't look as weird. Just look at other stock cars at stock height with large wheels, it doesn't look bad on most.

Just getting pads will slightly change the height but getting the ss springs would be best to close that gap and leave it at a nice somewhat stock height you are looking for. People sell the ss springs from 75-125 on the classifieds all the time. Actually think there are a few right now. Someone was going to buy mine but it fell through so I might post it back up.

I understand, however the 4matic uses completely different springs in the front because of the awd design. So unfortunately, I can't use springs from any other w203. But even a half an inch to and inch would help if I upgrade my wheels.

only thing I can think of is calling H&R or Eibach and see if they can custom make you some springs. Or ghetto it up and cut a coil or two.

For 4matic you have to use Vogtland Lowering Springs.

Nice, A+ is a must have now. It's like a high school diploma. After your A+ go for the MCITP (You'll need 2 years experience as an IT Professional before taking the test but that's not a problem). After MCSE died (out dated) MCITP became very hot.

I'm fully aware of the lowering springs available for the car, I was looking for cars with 18 or 19 on stock nonsport suspension.

Vogtland and H&R Germany both have lowering springs for the 4matic. I don't want lowering springs.

No matter what...jumping to 18's and ESPECIALLY 19's WILL create an ugly huge gap in the front wheels and an nice gap for the rears. It looks bad in pictures and even WORSE in person. Good Luck!
